Poor car. lol I want to call B.S. on this being a continuous burst of 10 seconds of one Thompson. At the Fastest rate of fire (1500 rpm for the M1919) that makes 250 rounds in 10 seconds. Ok that number might be right if we started counting holes, but the largest drum for a Thompson was 100 round. So they could only sustain fire for less than 5 seconds. So I think some liberty was taken with the timing, number of guns, or they fact that they changed mags during and stopped the clock for that. Ok, not back to the regularly scheduled fun.

There are all kinds of cops like in any other profession. I have known good and bad in a lot of places. My Papaw was a deputy and was loved by coworkers and prisoners alike for treating people like humans. More than once a former prisoner showed up to thank him and offer to do chores for him. On the other hand, my uncle was a patrolman in another city. He would show up in full uniform, including State Trooper style glasses at family gatherings...on his day off. He said he needed a pocket recorder because "people always lied about him harassing them." He was an royal a$$hole to everyone. He had a power trip about it like I bet these guys did. If you do it for the right reasons you will be happy doing it. Otherwise, no matter the pay, move on. Nothing justifies you torturing someone that you have clearly restrained.

My Dad says his Papaw and Dad tried to re-establish them on family land here in East TN, but that house cats would pick off all the quail. I am not sure I have ever seen one on that land. Sad too, I always wanted to bird hunt. Those are sone good looking birds you took.

Look to see if the foreend spacer is rubbing. I have a shotgun that does that. Careful tightening the screws if it is plastic. They break easily.

The worst part is not the "fine", but the "administrative fee". I had one years back that was $50, but the admin fee when I paid it added like $66 dollars. It literally took the one lady 2 minutes to "administer" the paperwork.

I got an email from AmmoFast.com today that showed "Aguila 12 Gauge MINISHELL". Has anyone used these? Looks like they come in 7.5 shot, slug and buckshot. They are 1 3/4 Inch, so they are touting that you can double the capacity of your pump. They are not for Semis. Interesting idea I guess if you worry about number of shots. At $1 a round, it is not the cheapest thing ever. The Remington Buckshot I just bought with a rebate comes out to about $0.40 per shot. So thoughts? Here is a link if anyone want to look. Glad to meet ya! I grew up in Sevierville, worked in Knoxville, and live close to Johnson City. The Sevierville area is just too tourist ridden for me (high prices too), Knoxville is too much like a big city, but the Tri-cities keep a smaller town feel. You have access to a bunch of stuff due to the combined population. Plus you are close to VA and NC if you want a day trip. My only advice is buy as much land as you can afford if you want to shoot at home. My 2 acres is just too close for shooting comfort to other houses. Prices should be very favorable compared to NY.
