  1. Well when 2 walnut trees really like each other......
  2. You are welcome. Interesting to see how many variations there are.
  3. Here is what the books say. 2017 standard Catalog of Firearms 2017 Blue book of Gun Values
  4. Finally. Though I have a bunch of accessories for my Gen 1 that I will not need if they replace it with a Gen 2. Gives me mixed feelings about replacing it.
  5. When I get home later tonight I can try to look it up in the 2017 books.
  6. Thanks Monkey. I will have to walk through that. Work is switching up for me, so free time will be a lot less in a bit. I just don't have time or desire to wade through the political discussions. I have chimed in a few times in the past, much to my regret. Politics related to guns is a hot topic for most, but I just want avoid it now. Maybe it will squeeze me in a few minutes to get to shoot here and there.
  7. I usually chalk my good groupings up to luck, but I am getting to be better with handguns.
  8. It is beautiful when this is the first 10 rounds each you fire out of 2 new (to me) guns.... especially when you are hurrying.
  9. It looks like the swamp may have spilled over into the Las Vegas shooting thread. Might be time to move it... On that note, is there a way to put a user level setting so that we can keep from seeing swamp posts in the all activity section? The reason I ask is it's easiest for me to pull up all activity to see anything that's been posted. So I don't have to dig through each individual subsection.
  10. It would have been "wise" to not threaten the officer and then just go on your way after getting a ticket.....But better for everyone he did not think that way
  11. Remove the illegal full auto part and that could be my trunk some days..... Is the silver at a standard upper and lower. Looks like it is one piece...and a SBR maybe.
  12. I am assuming he will get "modified" in prison soon. He probably did a Youtube vid about it. No way would I risk that much time just for a little faster rate of fire.
  13. Supremely lucky. With the way most hotel halls are, the second shooter could have laid down a field of fire that kept all but an APC pinned down. A gas mask to avoid tear gas and the police would have been out of options. No grenades would get tossed like in the movies. The shooter does not have to worry about collateral damage, but the police do. Heck, he could have even set out some charges to trigger manually when the police arrived. There are lots of things I can think of that we are lucky he did not do to slow down the police.
  14. That very well could be the case. Though as thought out as this seemed to be, I am surprised he did not pull the alarm at the floor level to disguise himself.
  15. This is a horrible situation for these people to be in. No amount of ducking would help. I appreciate that people videoed to help out the police, but my first thought would not be to start a Facebook Live stream..... Nothing I say is going to help the family and friends of those killed, so I am not going to try. I actually am surprised that the police were even able to isolate him as quick as they did. Maybe someone in the hotel reported the room to them. From outside it would be hard to locate.
  16. Looks to be. May be the elusive white retriever cat breed.
  17. Classic Firearms just sent an email out with this Bear Creek Arsenal AR-15 Rifle .223/5.56 NATO w/ M4 Barrel, Flat Top, 30 Round Mag and Hard Case $399.99 Link Not sure on quality.
  18. I picked up a "Palmetto State Armory Classic Freedom Davidsons Exclusive" in 5.56 for about that plus a few bucks shipping a while back. It has a front sight post though. If you are interested, so can send you the dealer's info. Not sure if the front post is a real deal breaker.

Looks like a Uzi and a Glock has a unprotected one night stand that bought some surplus Desert Storm fatigues. I can only guess that the "Solidworks" designed grip refers to the cad program. That's like a graphic artist saying "I drew this in Photoshop". Not a real out of the ordinary thing nowadays. You have to love stupid though. Let's film ourselves with an unusual udentifiable gun, riding in an identifiable vehicle, in a identifiable section of town. Might as well have held up his Id to the camera.
  20. As many as you could carry home....
  21. When I traveled, I always stopped and got an Uncle Here's favorite. Great for dinner and I took enough biscuits for breakfast. Little things you find when you get a per diem. I brought home lots of extra cash that way.
  22. Now that is good looking...
  23. That makes it hard. And I was not aiming at you guys specifically when I talked about bad ways to decide security levels. Just pointing out most places decide on cost. True it is a balance of spending more on security than the contents are worth and covering yourself well enough. I just worry about gun stores since the ATF might just decide you did not do enough and revoke your FFL. You know how they can be even if you are in the right.
  24. You always gotta save the dog...
  25. "I sit upon the largest vibrator known to man....."
