So you run the Mozambique Drill then. LAPD calls it the Failure Drill. Not having a standard place to practice, I do not have specific drills, but I consider all my rounds in a 6 inch circle to be "combat accurate". That is either with a pistol or rifle. At that level, I can reasonably kill anything that I need to. I would love to be better, but aging eyes and lack of time are against me. @hipower I agree. It is a down day on this end too. Lots of reasons why.

Now that is one big rack. Great job.

Never heard this and I have picked up enough at a time that they had to use as second form. These were transfers.

Seriously....What doe you want for Christmas?

Can we go back to just celebrating the Winter Solstice? I mean that is what it started as. I know better than to wish for something like that doe. Be more likely to find Santa in my living room with Rudolf than that. My luck and all. I could stand something like this -
New Job,New dress attire, new knife needed

So to chime in again. I like a lot of the knives mentioned, but does anyone carry a 1/2 serrated model? And does anyone carry a model that is not above about $75? My new gig is more lucrative overall, but leaves me with less mad money to play with. You know the kind the wife does not see..... I have been carrying a Gerber Bear Grylls folder that is 1/2 serrated for a while. Not a bad knife for knock around at I think $20 to $30. The only issue is that after a couple years I can't get it to keep an edge now. I also am wearing the rubber handle covering off. -
Hot pants and a girl with overalls with no top...yep I want to know the story too...

I saw one of the Hi-Points on Black Friday for $86. Thought about it I have nothing against these except the low cap.mags. My son took his first deer with a 9mm carbine. That said, I ended up with a 9mm AR pistol that uses Glock mags. They cost more, but have a bunch of extra customization options. If you watch. You might get one for not a ton above the Hi-point retail price. Now. I can see buying multiples of the Hi-Points if you wanted to stock the car, boat, truck, cabin, or wherever with something you can just leave there.

I believe that if no one came forward and it had no reports filed on it, then the finder gets it back. There is no reason to destroy a legal gun. If it was some sawed off 2 inch shotgun or something I could see it. Worst thing would be maybe have to do a background check before taking possession back. Hard for me to believe that a thief just tossed that all at once. Seems like nothing was out of it. I bet it hot lost off a boat or tube.

Watching this too. Change in dress at my newish gig pared with my current knife showing a lot of age has me looking. So far ones I have seen are on the low cost side, but not gotten to handle any. -
Nice looking work.

Staying hidden with supplies is a good plan if you CAN stay hidden. Anybody left out in the open after a while are possibly going to be pretty feral unless they pulled together an organized group. Those groups could be the big danger if they are hostile. It really all depends on what kind of S*** hit the fan. Never the less it will be risky showing compassion. It is easily interpreted as weakness.

I know these are popular pistols. Not sure how long this runs. http://palmettostatearmory.com/browning-buck-mark-camper-ufx-22lr.html?trk_msg=AEJ7A25AA3N41F6A3KKQGJ9H04&trk_contact=73R1G4P74SA6SKFHB3SG00NTE8&trk_sid=MKFKAL6OAR9J84SUKLCE5E3EJK&utm_source=Listrak&utm_medium=email&utm_term=http%3a%2f%2fpalmettostatearmory.com%2fbrowning-buck-mark-camper-ufx-22lr.html&utm_campaign=Daily+Deal+Email&utm_content=5%3a00+Email

Even in that condition the Kimber is worth a good bit more. Plus in my case when it enters my safe, it never changes ownership. Oh and I never film anything. Too much evidence for my taste. I made my spending money as a kid picking up cans, change , and lost items. If it did not have a name or a way to return it, then it was mine. I found wallets, knives, hatchets, and tons of other stuff that made into my "kit" or got traded off. I wish I had time to do this kind if hunting now.

Updated original post. Sorry. I meant to add before then had to rush off.

Saw a YouTube vid today of a kid finding a sling bag in the river he was hunting through. These guys float down picking up stuff and GoPro it all. The bag had a Kimber Pro Carry II in it plus an extra mag. So he called the police. They say not reported stolen or lost and take it. Then tell him if not claimed by the owner in 30 days it will be destroyed. So what do you guys think? Should he have just kept it since it did not look like a dumped gun? Or should the police said keep it since no reports filed on it? I figure that Kimber will be "destroyed" right into an officer's safe. https://youtu.be/qs9uqGPco8w

That is why body armor and guns are the first things you stock up on. In reality unless there was a sudden population killer like a plague, there would be nothing left very quickly. If a emp or such took out enough area there would be chaos immediately. And as you eluded, hungry people become very dangerous. Not a pretty sight.

Watching Walking Dead I actually think how fun scavenging would be. Like a treasure hunt with no off limit places. There got that off my chest...

Where do you Black Friday shop???? -
I saw clear tracks coming in. Fresh because the leaves were still disturbed. Guessing they have gone nocturnal due to pressure.
