  1. I hate to be sounding like an eBay rep lately, but sometimes it can be a good place for parts. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F253388601416 https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F282810684394
  2. I thought you guys only had clubs back then
  3. Makes me immediately start to wonder what else they did to it too though.
  4. A railed gas block would fix needing to swap hand guards. Of course a low profile one would look better without hand guards covering it than a cut off A2. You could always set it up to co-witness I guess
  5. Great to hear David! I have often wondered what you guys talk about behind the scenes. Soon we get to know. Lol
  6. Probably not anything new, but lately I have seen a bunch of ARs for sale where someone obviously cut off the A2 front sight instead of just replacing it. On these I see no special customization. Am I just seeing "bubba'd" ARs that are coming to light after the bandwagon rush buyers get tired of them? Would not be hard to fix if they were not asking more than I can buy a new one for. Reminds me of seeing a bunch of decent shotguns hacked off when "home defense" shotguns became the rage.
  7. I figured on the local. Just thought I would give you options. Good luck.
  8. If all else local fails, a quick check shows some on eBay. At least I think they are the right ones.... This one has free shipping. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F172143370086
  9. I'll take 2 sets of that please!
  10. Take a look at here: http://makenashville.org Never been there but hear good things.
  11. Welcome back!
  12. Great!
  13. Yeah no way I am paying that for an AR that cost $600 max to build at home.
  14. Has anyone looked into the classes Legal Heat runs at Cabela's. Looking into it, it is a 4 hour course with no range time or test. It says your permit will be issued from Utah or Arizona by mail. It says it covers Virginia too. Am I missing something? I know they are in Virginia, but it sounds like odd. Here is the event details from Cabela's site "Cabela's in Bristol has partnered with Legal Heat, the Nation's Leading Firearm Training Firm to provide concealed carry classes meeting the qualifying and documentation to obtain the Virginia CCW Permit, Utah CCW Permit, and the Arizona CCW Permit in a fun, non-intimidating class. These CCW permits allow combined concealed carry reciprocity in approximately 37+ states. Legal Heat's concealed carry class covers firearms safety, firearms handling, firearms transportation, firearms storage, ammunition self-defense laws, concealed carry techniques and much more. Legal Heat's firearm training instructors are all NRA and UTAH BCI certified, insured and among the most highly experienced in the industry and can answer your CCW questions. This course typically runs 4 hours. This Legal Heat course does not have a test or a range requirement. The Utah and Arizona permits are open to residents of any state and can be applied for by mail. You do NOT have to reside in the state of Utah or Arizona to qualify to apply. Register today for this fun and informative class. Seating may be limited. https://mylegalheat.com/cabelas or 855-GUN-CLASS."
  15. Ok. Great. I am not big on hats or logo'd shirts, but those would be a nice addition.
  16. Not terribly hard to find. Not sure when they went to plastic though. https://m.ebay.com/itm/Dan-Wesson-Barrel-Tool-44-Mag-Nice-/112766246763
  17. That looks more like patina to me. Lol Don't let @FUJIMO fool you. My house specializes in "finish" issue guns. They get lots of love and attention and no one calls them ugly....
  18. D@mn Thanks undisclosed sponsor! David, Have you ever looked at doing morale patches?
  19. For those of you not over at our sister site. I posted it there too. Kinda cool, but maybe just a reach to keep sales price up on some of their rifles. https://www.brownells.com/.aspx/bap...5Y2pORjVHMVd1YUlcL2p1bDdzbnY5UUV0WmdKUVN1TyJ9
  20. I really think they orchestrated the fight between Rick and Daryll just to get rid of the guns and ammo in that humvee. Rather out of place and stupid at that moment.
  21. Probably not long unless they were able to get a patent filed on a pre-existing technology. I bet they did not or someone would have leaked the patent application. So any barrel manufactures that read this: Crank us out some barrels to get started. So is the straight lands the ONLY thing that makes this work or is the 26 inch over all still in play?
  22. Looks like the Matchdot manual is here under Ultradot. Not a lot to the manual though. Looks like battery compartment may be on the largest upward turret or post. A Nickle should work on it. These usually use large watch batteries. http://www.ultradotusa.com/ultradotdist2010_013.htm I agree on the target pistol idea. This is not a cheap red dot.
  23. I have not read the report, but as a general statement: you can not stop everyone that wants to do this kind of thing. I have argued it many times with people. Unless you limit it to the point that you collect all urine, bat guano, fertilizer or silly things like that, you still leave people that are determined enough materials to build destructive devices. No one thinks anything if you buy a hacksaw, steel pipe, pipe caps, Teflon tape, and a drill at Lowe's. Or like the Unabomber, just use scrap pipe and such. These could be made into pipe bombs or jerryrigged guns. Take a look at some other countries. They make guns out of anything. I saw an industrial stapler turned into a one shot pistol. This guy could have crashed a small plane full of homemade explosives instead of shooting. Or driven a truck into the crowd. People are lucky he did not. So all the people out there screaming for gun restrictions refuse to admit in the overall, it will make little positive difference even if these people can't get guns. We all know truthfully that they will just buy them illegally or steal them anyway.
  24. I used to have a buddy that belonged, but he moved west
  25. Like an onion....make them cry before they get all the way inside.
