Well, I got the gun today. I was trying to identify it on the web site but can’t find one with the exact nomenclature as mine. Heres a few pics if anyone can help me figure out exactly which one I have. I was mainly just curious as the value, or cost new, at least. Most of the 8 rd models I saw on the web site said HC or FS or something. The other label I didn’t post has the serial number and the upc code. Thanks for any help y’all can provide. In any event, k can’t wait to shoot it. I have to grab some 10mm ammo first, though, and I’m not looking forward to that, LOL.

Thermal, LOL, auto-correct gets me every time. I need to pay attention before I hit send. Yes, modifying the weapon for these mags instantly takes two Glock mags out of the equation, so im not sure i want to do that. I am liking the idea of the psa mags instead, but am still a little concerned about reliability.
-
Did you change out thermal release on your 43x for the shield mags?
-
I’ve got both but prefer green.
-
I’m still looking at reviews of both, but so far my inclination is to send back the Shield arms kit and get the psa. I should have done more research in the first place, but I had no idea the psa mags even existed. Live and learn. Hopefully I’ll only be out the shipping.

https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-dagger-micro-9mm-15-round-slick-magazine.html ‘I’ve never liked PSAs web site. Is this the ones that fit the Glock 43X?

My shield arms combo kit shipped this morning before I asked for a cancellation. They said I could return it, so I might do that. I would just keep it, but the PSA mags don’t require a modification to the gun, and so I could still use the 10 round mags if I needed to. If I convert the gun, they say the metal mag release will tear up polymer mags so could use the current mags I have. Like JeffL posted, I also have a 365 macro with a 17nround capacity, but this one would end up being an occasional carry. I guess I will think on what to do, and decide after the kit gets here, LOL. That’s what I get for being too eager with no patience.

Well, shoot. I ordered already from shield arms! Wish I’d seen this first!

Recently picked up a new Glock 43X, that has been customized by Shark Coast Tactical. I love the looks of it. One of the guys at my local Gunshop where I bought it showed me a S-15 magazine he got for his G-43X that is made for the G43x, but has a 15 round capacity. The Shiel arms mags are made of steel which is how they are able to do 15 instead of 10 rounds like the polymer Glock mags, though, you have to replace the stock mag release with a metal one. They offer a kit or bundle that includes 3 mags and the metal mag release. I’m think hard about ordering it. Anyone have any experience with this?

I’m not sure which Leatherman tool I have, it’s an older one, from back when I wasn’t aware they made more than one model, if they ever did back then. I carried it for a long while, but for some reason I stopped and it ended up in an office drawer then later a carry bag. I also have a gerber multi tool in the truck. I found that I didn’t need to carry one but still like having one close by.

He is just not interested in the gun. Long story about their relationship, but sad as it is, it resulted in me getting the gun.

My friend hasn’t fired this, he just doesn’t like it. Not sure what, if anything, his dad did to it before he gave it to him, heck, it may be unfired. He lives across the state from me, so I have to wait til he comes this way for work sometime before I get it.

While I have long been interested in getting a 10mm pistol ever since a saw and handled a Colt Delta Elite many years ago, the costs involved, especially the costs of ammo, plus the fact I don’t need another caliber have discouraged me. But my friend told me he decided he doesn’t want this gun and is giving it to me. Soooo, I’ll be on the hunt for ammo after I examine the gun and determine if it’s in good working order or can be put that way with my limited knowledge/abilities, then start looking for ammo. Seeing the experiences/advice from those on here, I most likely wouldn’t have gotten into 10mm, and if I did, not a Rock Island 10mm, but for free? I’m in.

I’ve had really good experiences with CarMax. I’ve bought 3 or four From them at my local store in Rivergate/Madison. They gave me a fair price for trade-in when I traded, offered but didn’t pressure sell extended warranty and no haggle price on vehicle.

I’m envious! -
I carry Hornady Critical Defense in my 365 macro. I have some Critical Duty, with a plan to carry it in a separate magazine for specific situations, but never got around to doing it. For environments where I figure I’m most likely to have to shoot, I’m a little concerned about over-penetration or missed shots going through thin walls with the Critical Duty rounds. Not suggesting others should have the same concerns, this is just me.

Found that setting but it is already enabled. Now that I know it’s to do with orientation and not random, I can deal with it. I sometimes read in landscape and sometimes in portrait. In my old age I never thought to look at how I was using it. I was thinking I wasn’t doing anything different. I good now. Thanks for the help!

Son of a gun! That’s exactly right. Now I’m questioning myself as to whether it’s random, or just related to which orientation my iPad is in, as I read it in both orientations. Now I’ll have to watch to see if that is always the case. If so, seems a rather poor design for an iPad to be setup that way with the screen bring so much bigger than a phone, or, as Red in That 70s Show would say, Defender, you dumba**! Thank you, Omega!

Well, still have no clue why these two buttons come and go in Safari, but I did discover that I can “mark all read” and “show unread content” in the 3 lines menu at the top right, so when my buttons disappear, I can still do that!

Please make sure to post a review here once you get it and evaluate. -
It’s not doing that at the moment, it’s sporadic. I will try it tho. I see those dots in chrome, but not safari. What I don’t understand is how sporadic it seems. Thanks for the help.

I read in a recent issue of Military Times newspaper that a brigade in the 101st just got the new replacements for the M-4 and M-249. The XM7 is the Army’s replacement for the M4 while the XM250 will replace the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon. Both new weapons are chambered in 6.8mm. Both sound like awesome weapons.

Got tired of fooling with back in Feb, but just now tried loading TGO in Chrome on my iPad. Happens with chrome the same as with safari. No mark site read button or unread content button.
