  1. What is Faux News? Some kinda slam against Fox News?
  2. tHATS WHAT i THOUGHT TOO, LOL.
  3. I guess there's no real way to tell, but I wonder how much money was generated by increased sales and higher costs of ammo and guns because of the "shortage" of ammo and the fear of guns being unavailable that would not have been made anyway?
  4. 9mm you said? Isn't it stamped 5.56mm?
  5. I emember my Granny rolling her own in a contraption that was mounted in a wooden cigar box bottom...this was in the 60's. It had a roller with a trough where you loaded the tobacco, then you rolled it up half way and then licked the paper and inserted it amd then pushed it all the way down...pick out the loose tobacco sticling out the ends and voila! a pretty nasty tasting bugler tobacco cig...Me and my uncle would save our Winston and Marlboro filters sometimes once we found out we could roll them too! They ended up inside the paper but still worked, lol. Then years later as a young adult, I remember in the 70's roilling your own in little machines became quite popular...I tried it, but it wasnt worth the effort to me since cigs were so cheap anyway. When I finally quit when I was in Germany (1990) and I was paying the commissary about $2.00 for a whole freaking carton of generics...obviously I quit for the health, not the cost, lol. Now I do pipes, and like those much better...though you can very easily negate any savings if you start buying too many expensives pipes, lol. For me loading a pipe properly is an art and can be a quite relaxing process, part of the ritual, and smoking a relaxing bowl of good tobacco is the bomb!
  6. I like Gingrich. He's flawed, as are we all, his experience in government, his intelligence, his ability to think on his feet and argue a point of view intelligently, are things I like. He might not be my primary choice in the number one position, but if he was to partner with Cain, and if Cain used him as a working VP rather than just as an alternate President, I think it would be a good team. Bottom line, I'm a ABO (Anybody But Obama) guy. I will vote for whoever wins the GOP ticket becasue I believe that anything else is a vote for the Dems.
  7. Evidence of a mis-spent youth? Or not, lol.
  8. I bought a Nook Color a month or so back at great price. I then bought a Android card for it that converts it to a full fledged Android tablet with 32GB of storage. I liked it before, I love it now. Still has the functionality of the nook, and can read nook books on it, but I can also read any other kind of e-book on it now, Kindle, Sony, whatever, and can also surf the web via wifi, and I can do pretty much anytghing anyone else can do with their tablets. Since I've converted mine, B & N has come out with a Nook tablet, and have downgraded the cost of the original nook color by 50 bucks. But even with my n2a conversion card cost, I'm still ahead moneywise. I take it everywhere, and using a program called Overdrive, I can read library books on it too.
  9. Nice gun, Jason. Congrats!
  10. Many holsters made for 1911s will fit my PF-9.
  11. What is the advantage to doing this as opposed to just buying slugs?
  12. My Solid Brass Zippo Pipe Lighter that has given me years of service...I also have a Zippo Scrimshaw Pipe Lighter at home...
  13. Here are some silly jokes that slam Democrats and Liberals. They aren't meant to be offensive, and if you are a Liberal or a Democrat please don't get angry! This is all just for fun...and I don't think I got these from the Tennessean! Q: What do you get when you offer a Liberal a penny for his thoughts? A: Change. Q: How do you confuse a Liberal? A: You don't. They're born that way. Q: Why is it good to have a Democrat passenger? A: You can park in the handicap zone. Q: What's the difference between Elvis and a smart Liberal? A: Elvis has been sighted. A Democrat died and a friend went around collecting for a fund for his funeral. A woman was asked to donate ten dollars. "Ten dollars?" she said. "It only takes ten dollars to bury a Democrat? Here's a hundred - go bury 10 of them!" Q: How do you keep a Democrat busy? A: Write 'Please turn over' on both sides of a piece of paper. Q: How do you keep a Liberal busy all day? A: Put him in a round room and tell him to wait in the corner. Q: What do you call a Democrat with an IQ of 130? A: A foursome Q: How do you get a one-armed Liberal out of a tree? A: Wave to him. Q: What do you call a basement full of Liberals? A: A whine cellar. Q: What is the definition of gross ignorance? A: 144 Democrats. Q: What is foreplay for a Democrat? A: Thirty minutes of begging. Q: What is the Democrat doing when he holds his hands tightly over his ears? A: Trying to hold on to a thought. Q: Why did the Liberal have blisters on his lips? A: From trying to blow out lightbulbs. Q: Why do Liberals work seven days a week? A: So you don't have to retrain them on Monday. A Democrat found a magic genie's lamp and rubbed it. The genie said, "I will grant you one wish." He said, "I wish I were smarter". So the genie made him a Republican. Q: What the difference between a Democrat and the rear end of a horse? A: I don't know either. Q: How is a Liberal different from a sewer rat? A: Some people actually like sewer rats. Q: How many Democrats does it take to change a light bulb? A: None. They prefer to walk in the dark. Q: Why do so many Liberals live in L.A.? A: It’s the only city that is easy enough for them to spell. Q: What's five miles long and has an IQ of forty? A: A Democrat parade. Q: What is it called when a Liberal blows in another Liberal’s ear? A: Data transfer. Q: Why don't they let Liberals swim in the ocean? A: Because they can't get the smell out of the tuna. Q: How do you plant dope? A: Bury a Democrat. Q: What's the difference between a Liberal and a sack of manure? A: The sack. Q: What's the definition of a Democrat running for Congress for the first time? A: A mouse trying to become a rat.
  14. Dang...dunno how I missed that...sorry about that... Sent from my NookColor using Tapatalk
  15. Anyone seen this? lol...It's for real. Zombie Max - Hornady Manufacturing, Inc
  16. Me too. While I like the show, I keep finding myself wondering why they cant be more relaistic about this or that...then I remember it a ZOMBIE show, LMAO!
  17. I could almost give a pass to the youth who have gotten caught up in this so called movement...often, when you are young you tend to be idealistic and so convinced that the old ways are bad...antiestablishment...etc....but eventually most people grow up...I'm reminded of something that Winston Churchill said many years ago. At the risk of offending some on here, I'll quote it: “Show me a young Conservative and I'll show you someone with no heart. Show me an old Liberal and I'll show you someone with no brains.” I know that makes some unfair generalizations, but think about it...much truth there, lol. If you compare the people the media has interviewed in these OWS demonstrations with the people in the Tea Party demonstrations, you will notice a distinct lack of opinion based on reality or common sense on the the OWS part... I'll close this with another Winnie quote, “The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter.”
  18. I think a lot of the industry types probably equate Baptist churches with the south....but having never actually been in one, have no clue about what is inside them...
  19. I took my daughter to see this movie last night, based on the strong recommendation of a close LEO friend. It was one of the best movies I have ever saw. I strongly recommend anyone with kids go see this, especially fathers, or even anyone that will be a parent someday. Its a great family movie with a message that gets told as it plays out, but it is entertaining as well. It kept our rapt attention from the beginning all the way to the end! Very emotional movie too. Courageous - In Theaters Now
  20. I agree.
  21. I want this to bust wide open and hope it goes all the way to the top!
  22. Hey, I'll take your cache and cookies! :-)
  23. "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." (Ben Franklin) I'm all for killing terrorists, but I'm not really sure I trust the Obama administration to determine who is and is not a terrorist...and if the alleged terrorist is a US citizen...
  24. I'm all for killing terrorists...but...I'm a little concerned about who gets to decide who is a terrorist, and why...especially when those "terrorists" are American citizens. 'm not normally a conspiracy theorist, nor a tinfoil hat wearer, but I keep remembering reading about how in the 30's and 40's the Nazis were killing "terrorists" and I wonder if that could happen here...
