  1. Yeah, I did...got maybe 2 issues in the mail.
  2. I like that idea...I don't want to thread steal here, but it IS related...are there any cons to this method>?
  3. I just got an update email from TFALAC about some comments Bob Pope made to the legislature. Talk about surprising me. He's outright advocating AGAINST the "parking lot" bill. Says property owner rights trump 2nd Amendment rights. While I am an advocate of property owner rights. I think in the case of employers who prohibit in locked cars essentially disarm a gun owner not JUST at work, but on the way to and from...
  4. Just got my first email response, from, Sen Ophelia Ford, of all people! Here is what they said: Dear John, As you know, the Senator is an advocate of "Right to Carry" laws. This bill will not make it to the floor for a vote because of, both, The Governor and the Lt. Governor. While, yes it is true that we have many concerns of our own regarding excluded amendments and provisions of said legislation. Our overall position on said legislation, if amended properly, would have been in favor of it. Derek Hummel Legislative Assistant Senator Ophelia Ford I wouldn't have counted on her support of this bill...so if shes saying yes, I wonder what amendments she's talking about?
  5. Key word here...lol.
  6. Please ahre what you decide on..I am also disappointed with BoA.
  7. Maybe, but I bet it was a Glock ar-15ak47 assault rifle!
  8. I liked them. Of course, the author was/is still growing as an author, but overall, I found the story chapters to be well writen, interesting and they sure kept my interest.
  9. and I notice he speaks English, not Ghetto, lol.
  10. This country is getting unbelievable
  11. I noticed that too...for those that may be less savvy about this than others, when you push that button, it scans for new content in whatever area you were last in, i.e. if like Mike 357 said, you were looking at a profile or something, then you just need to first click on forums then new content.
  12. I did and just got the following response: Hello John, As you know, I have always supported items that pertain to the 2nd amendment and am a gun owner/carrier myself. Since I have taken office, the restrictions on gun owner's rights have been dramatically stripped away, and less regulation is a good thing. The bill that you reference below is one of two or maybe three bills that will deal with this matter. I want to assure you that I will be looking at all of these bills and will support the one(s) that I feel best bolster the rights of individuals like yourself and property owners that will be affected as well. The final language for each of these bills has not been finalized yet, but I urge you to keep an eye on their progress. Since all of the bills will be different in one small way or another, I encourage you to take a look at all of the bills and let me know your thoughts on each. , Thank you again for contacting me, and please let me know if there is anything further that I may assist you with. Sincerely, Debra Maggart State Representative 45th District
  13. I supported him in his bid to become Governor. I wrote him an e-mail yesterday urging him to get on board with this bill. This video has changed my mind about him completely. He's a pompous ass and does not deserve the respect we've given him. I will not support him again. HE is what's wrong with the GOP. People like him have been in office way too long and need to be put out to pasture as soon as possible.
  14. Handled one of these at the gun show in Nashville yesterday. Seemed sweet, but was marked 379, and looked used.
  15. Although I scored some Ed Brown 1911 grip screws at the show, I was disappointed overall in the show. It seems that the $5 parking fee is beginning to work. Wouldn't doubt this show going away if this keeps up. Thinking about going to the show in Westmoreland next weekend.

Nice gun. I saw one at the gun show in Nashville yesterday.
  17. I think I went to high school with Danny Shirley of Confederate Railroad. Also in HS, I was in exile in the hallway one day from English class and met Chill Wills walking down the hall way with an entourage...dunno why he was there, but he shook my hand, lol.. met several others over the years, but wasnt impressed much by any of them.
  18. I didnt think it would...but Im glad it did.
  19. LMAO!
  20. I've noticed that too, and wondered about the seemingly random nature of it...
  21. I think this is why so many "bash" cops. It probably stems from direction from higher ups in the city or dept food chain, driven by a desire to generate revenue...what other reason is there to cite someone just because you can? In this case, the driver hurt no one's property but his own, and if there is a lesson to be learned here to be more careful, it was learned without the added insult of a needless ticket. Years ago, I was stationed at K.I. Sawyer AFB in Michigan's Upper Penninsula. As you might expect, the weather was very snowy and hazardous for much of the year. At one point I had a commander who was of the opinion that if there was an accident, then SOMEONE was at fault and needed to be cited. Those of us who were tasked to respond to and investigate traffic accidents, and/or supervise those who did so, tried to dissuade him from this policy, to no avail. Oftentimes, we would just not mention any citation or lack of, and hope for the best. Usually, he would become aware of our neglect to cite and chastise us about it. My opinion has been that mitigating factors could and maybe should be considered before deciding to cite..
