I remember Presidential visits to Air Bases both here in the Tsates and overseas in my career, and the Secret Service took a similar tact with us...sidearms were allowed around the President, but they would allow long guns out to a certain point...and all the likely sniper sites were manned by us and them.

How Long Have You Had Your TN Handgun Carry Permit
Defender replied to runco's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I was also. I don't remember the exact date, but I applied for mine back in the first wave when the Counties were supposed to approve...as I recall, many just didn't, and the law was changed to put it under the Dept of Safety...in any event, its been a while, lol. -
An idea I had was to use one of my old duty belts with gun holster, cell phone holster spare ammo, flashlight...could grab the belt and snap it on...am thinking that i need 3 hands at times...gun, flashlight, cell phone etc...belt might be handy

Well...just in case, we could always pass a law that these countries wouldn't use these weapons against us or our allies...hmmm that would surely work, wouldn't it?

HB118/SB142: Current "parking lot" legislation
Defender replied to GKar's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I've corresponded with Courtney Rogers, 45th District, some, and wanted to share my most recent missive from her. This is in response to some questions Id asked her: Real quick, because I am swamped.... oh- but first, if you ever come to Nashville, would love to meet you in person! Ok, I have signed onto the 'safe commute' bill as a co-sponsor - but there are some issues with it as it came out of the Senate the other night that may be too restrictive, will look more into that. Am also co-sponsoring the bill that doesn't allow publication of permit holder list in TN.... Hmmm, what else. Signing onto the HB 042 by Joe Carr that makes it a crime for anyone trying to enforce confiscation of arms in TN. Also, FYI.... am joining the 10th Amendment Caucus! Blessings! Courtney -
I agree. I got into the AUD I think through someone here, and from there on to the Ruth story, and on to the Union Creek Journal, which not zombie, but still good. Was sad to see it end.

I agree...only real problem I see is that they should have told the OP what and why first, instead of just doing it, so he would have had the option of allowing that or not.

I dont like that either. I looked on the web and saw this: http://www.instructables.com/id/Decode-Your-License/ Not sure if Im geek enough to do all that but I think I will try. I'd be concerned too. From what I saw online, one code has only the information on the front, and the other has much more...not sure what software is available to business or scammers to harvest it tho...kinda worrisome.

How can you tell if it's a rebuilt title? IS it clearly marked as such?

Received this evening from TN Sheriff's Association
Defender replied to Worriedman's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
They leave themselves too much wiggle room in that statement. Even the gun banners say they support the Constitution! That Sheriff's group out of Oregon said it best in their letter. Come on, Tennessee! -
I paid 7.95 to use Tax Act online.

Pretty sure it's a Glock AK-47.

Just finished VICTORY AT YORKTOWN, A Novel by Newt Gingrich and William R. Forstchen, Thomas Dunne Books. You may remember Forstchen, who also wrote, One Second After, and you all know Newt of course. It was the third in a trilogy about the Revolutionary War. Really makes one think about our history and how can one think about that without thinking about our present and he future of our country. Really a great read, actually all three were! Highly recommended!

Not sure exactly what ya mean, but I access Netflix on the same account on my Apple TV, my Wii, and on my computer...

David, are we (TGO) making money on these or just covering costs? Either way is fine by me, I was just curious? Same wuestion o the coins...Seems to me like a great way to augment what the site gets from Benefactors sales if it can be done at a reasonable cost. The stickers are reasonable.

I had some i got from TFA once...but they were handed out somewhere, not a link...I have a PDF file on my computer that you can print your own cards..one file is a sheet of the front side and the other is the back side. They have the TFQ website printed on one side, but I cant seem to find them on the TFA website...PM me your e-mail address if you want me to e-mail what I have to you.

Not trying to steal the thread, but I have a relevant question...what streaming devices seems to offer the most features, or at least streaming sources (channels)? I have an Apple TV and i like some parts of it, but it seems limited on the free stuff. Im looking to get another device for another room, and cant decide between a Smart blue ray, Roko 2 or similar or whatever...also wonder if, since Im buying a new TV soon, if it would be smarter to buy a smart tv that might have this capability built in...decisions, decisions...lol. Any recommendations?

USA Gives 16 F16 Fighter Jets & 200 Abrams Tanks to Egypt
Defender replied to JohnC's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Not only is Obama anti Israel, but anti American as well, obviously. How can there be ANY doubt. The Egyptian president regularly makes anti American speeches. As far the Defense industry goes, I doubt they care who they sell to as long as they sell. Stockholder opinion reigns. -
I have the FNP-45USG. I love it. Its big and bulky but i always come back to it. I am used to carrying it so the size and weight does not bother me. It shoots way better than I do. It eats ANY ammo I've ran through it with zero problems. I usually carry it and one spare mag OWB on opposite sides. On the magazine side I also carry a flashlight so it is a little bit balanced...I also wear suspenders tho, because of the weight, and an Original S.O.E. Cobra belt. Ive not had any problems with my gun ever. Mine is the USG model, and it can be carried with one in the chamber and decocked, ready to fire DA then SA, or one in chamber and cocked and locked like a 1911.

What does the military feel about the erosion of our 2A right?
Defender replied to garethsk's topic in General Chat
You would probably also be surprised at how many military members are NOT gun enthusisasts...I worked with guys who carried guns daily who didnt even OWN a gun... -
Yeah, Ive been reading that for a while now...found it when I was reading Adrians Undead Diary...What I like is TEOTWAWKI type fiction, but zombie stuff fits in that category too.

Sad but I bet you are right. I saw a similar bill in Wyoming that did, in fact, make it a felony there. Different people though...wonder what the chances of getting ours passed here, and enforced after that? I'm reminded of other bills I've seen here and elsewhere about sovereignty, but I think these were more resolutions rather than laws that carried penalties.
