  1. It's Bush's fault...or global warming...lol
  2. I dont know how many times I've heard something like, "Well If I'm going to a bad area, I'll carry..."    Personally, EVERY area I go to, even my home, I consider a "bad" area, LOL.
  3. I agree.  One of the best ever.
  4. I was a cop (armed) there, and I remember my first interaction with an Armored car money escort in the 70's.  The dudes were wearing  security uniforms, and crash helmets!  I asked the dude why the helmets, and he told me that at that time, most of their robberies of the trucks were done  by whacking the escorts with cricket bats, lol.
  5. I have Apple TV2 on one tv and A Sony Smart Blueray on another, both used in conjunction with Cable, at present.  My research shows that the Roku 3 may be the best though.  I really wanted the ability to stream to my Ipad2, but after the fun wore off, i found I rarely do that, and I dont even use itunes on the AppleTV2., just netflix.  On the Sony, I use netflix and a few others, like Crackle, on occasion.  I rarely have any problems out of either rdevice, though the Sony seems to be slower than the AppleTV2.  The Sony does offer a whole more "channels" than the AppleTV2. I should add that on both these devices, Im only using free stuff, except for the netflix.
  6. When I lived in England (75-82) firearms were strictly controlled but not outright banned.  One could "own" a firearm, but the rules for secure storage were very stringent.  For the most part, rifles and  pistols were only kept at Shooting clubs and had to be used there.  Even then though, one had to have a license to even own it.  Shotguns were also licenced, but at that time, one could keep it at home.  I understand that now they cant even do that.  This is what some would like to bring here.  It starts with small steps and before you even know it, they are talking about banning knives...
  7. I am not inherently racist, but I do get tired of the double standards we allow. Being black so often gets one a "pass"  and Im sick of that.  And like Garufa said, its at least as many whites that perpetuate this as blacks...maybe out of some misplaced sense of guilt or something.    Blacks are still a minority in this country, It took a whole lotta whites to get him elected.  I am convinced that the true racism in this country nowadays, the systemic racism, is something that is alive and well.  It's evident in the way we encourage welfare moms to birth more babies, and not make fathers be responsible for their offspring.  I think this all started with Lyndon Johnson's Great Society, and the social welfare government we have that rewards a lack of personal and family responsibility.  We actually encourage bad behavior!  And under Obama, things have gotten way worse...we actually encourage people, even non citizen immigrants to get on food stamps!  Black liberation theology, my A&^%^   There's a book by Ken Hamblen, a former radio talk show host in Denver, called "Pick A Better Country".  Excellent read.  Oh and by the way, Ken in black...he called himself the Black Avenger!  Also, I encourage you to listen to Carl Boyd on 99.7 on Sunday afternoons.
  8. Im glad no one was buying it!  i hope that continues.  I HATE gouging.  When this frenzy settles down, Im gonna remember who was gouging and who was not in my local gun stores. I try toi buy a small amount of ammo almost everytime i go top a store, but not at huge prices.
  9. I'm in the employment business.  My dealings with insurance sales jobs is not expansive but I have dealt with several over the years. Some are commission only, some are base plus commmission, some are paid salary while training then commission only...just make sure you know what youre getting into.  SOME, even ones you would think are reputable, expect you to seel policies to your family members and friends and then when you cant sell much beyond that, let you go.  Its not for everyone.  I have seen a few people excel at this and stay in it for years and make a decent living.  Most people, however, in my observations, seem to fail at it.
  10. Even scarier are the UFOs in the top left of the video!!! LMAO
  11. What possesses people to act like that?  More like a bunch of animals than anything else...
  12. I saw this gun on Alerican Rifleman TV last week and was intrigued by it.  Does anyone have any knowledge they can share about it?   I've been wanting a .22WMR cwrbine or rifle to complement my PMR030.  I like the Keltec RMR-30, but they have been non existent, and this one is cheaper to boot!    http://eaacorp.com/portfolio-item/tanfoglio-appeal-rifle/
  13. Can't .40's be configured to fire sig .357?  Couild that piece be some part of the conversion kit, perhaps a magazine spacer or floor plate or to use with the glock mag loader tool or something??
  14.   Maybe Hyundai is a sponsor?
  15. You're right!  But I think its bad etiquette, not Law:   In the United States, the President can issue an executive order for the flag of the United States to be flown at half-staff upon the death of principal figures of the United States government, and others, as a mark of respect to their memory. When such an order is issued, all government buildings, offices, public schools and military bases are to fly their flags at half-staff. Under federal law (4 U.S.C. Â§ 7(f)), the flags of states, cities, localities, and pennants of societies, shall never be placed above the flag of the United States; thus, all other flags also fly at half-staff when the U.S. flag has been ordered to fly at half-staff. Governors of the several U.S. states or territories are authorized by federal law to order all U.S. and state flags in their jurisdiction flown at half-staff as a mark of respect for a former or current state official who has died, or for a member of the armed forces who has died in active duty. The governor's authority to issue the order is more restricted than the president's and does not include the discretion to issue the order for state residents who do not meet the criteria stated. Since a governor's executive order affects only his or her state, not the entire country, these orders are distinguished from presidential proclamations.
  16. I saw a report this morning online that DHS is releasing thousands of illegals being held in local jails, due to  sequestration...
  17. LOVE this show!
  18. I HATE being corrected!  But you are soo right, lol.  JohnC is right also...theres not a whole lotta difference between the two in many cases theses days
  19. Cooper IS a Democrat.
  20. I remember years ago, before the DHS was even created, listening to G. Gordon Liddy talking about jack booted thugs of the ATF breaking down people's doors, stomping kittens, and illegally confiscating guns...This reminds me of that...one reason I distinctly remember this event was that he said if it happens to you, one thing to remember is...CROTCH SHOTS!  lol, he went on to say that they would probably be wearing body armor and center mass shots may not be effective, and head shots might be too difficult, but that most body armor didnt cover the crotch area, and the area on 3 sides of the crotch could also be incapacitating in case your aim is slightly off, lol.  In truth, if I recall correctly this was in response toan AFF raid around that time, wherein the raiders allegedly stomped the homeowners kittens to death on purpose...
  21. He's a dirtbag politician who will vote his party gun control line.    I also got the second letter this week, and it is obvious he's trying to act like he's one of us, by mention of his permit, etc...but he ai't fooling me.
  22. Whats the name of this store?
