  1. I've been looking around for A SIG P-365 SAS complete slide assembly with barrel and springs to put on my P-365XL. I found one at Sig but it only comes with the non-ported slide only, no barrel Smallgunparts.com has what I want but its way more than i want to spend. Anyone have any ideas where else to look? I also tried gunbroker and Buds with no luck.
  2. Welcome! What part of Michigan are you from? I was stationed in the UP for a bit.
  3. No real advice here, but I've heard the rice thing works or they also make a special bag for cell phones that has some kind of chemical in it that also is supposed to work well. Id guess if it works for phones it should work here as well.
  4. What are a few good forums for Protech?
  5. Got mine too, and I love them! Thanks.
  6. P516G2-7B My Sig P516G2-7B is about 6 lbs without the mag. Ive seen some high end stuff at around 3 or so lbs, but cant remember where, except price of around 3k sticks in my mind...but the Keltec one is a lot less and 3.4 libs...
  7. Man...I was hoping these would be in today or tomorrow in time for Fathers Day, lol. Oh well...Monday will work.
  8. Do these have a safety>?
  9. Damn, youre killing me here...lol.
  10. Just watched a YouTube review of this knife and all i can say is wow. Id love to have one, but I think these are a tad too expensive for me. I have a cheap automatic knife I picked up at a gun show a few years back, but its not that well made. These look awesome. Anyone recommend a less expensive good quality automatic for me? I like a good sized knife like this Protech Operator in the video.
  11. I've carried a handgun professionally and personally all of my adult life. Thought I knew it all about shooting and self defense. Took Buford's HCP class back in the 90's for the first HCP. Actually learned a lot form him. As others have said here and elsewhere, he was a character and I found him a tad bit arrogant, but despite that, I liked him we kept in contact all these years, and I respected both his career and his character. RIP.
  12. Yes, the qual part is, or has been for me. I just got my new LEOSA ID and now that things are opening back up, Im going to try to get to the range and see what happens.
  13. The Tennessee folks who run the LEOSA program are not very friendly to LEOSA, really, Im told that many retired LEOs here dont even bother with LEOSA because of that and go HCP only instead. Im authorized under LEOSA as a retired Federal LEO, but they make it very difficult.
  14. Welcome! Im an old USAF guy also. Retired a long time ago in a galaxy far away...
  15. You are 100 % right! Personally, although i do read ebooks, i still usually prefer paper. Ive acquired many ebooks on my ipad, in Kindle and other formats for rainy day' reading. Im a huge user of the metro public libraries here in Nashville. Right before they shut down because of the pandemic, I was smart enough to check out a goodly stack of books. Reading my next to last one now, but it looks like I\ll run out before they reopen, so yesterday while at Kroger, I just stopped to look at some books. Wow. Outrageous prices. Most of the ebooks Ive acquired were free or almost free so I guess when i finish this last hardback, its ereading those for me! By the way, Metro Nashville library system is outstanding, well, when they are open, lol. They have different books at every branch and the main library, and you can order books to be sent to your local branch for free. They also have a great selection of audio books in various formats, and also have access to an ebook check out system as well, called Overdrive. Online catalog is good if you know the names of your authors or books, but if you liek to just browse to look for books, not so good. My local branch has a new book area, so that is where i head usually.
  16. Thanks, man. Im going to order the kindle versions i think. I can afford those, though i wish i could find the paper versions ata decent price.
  17. This series greatly interests me. What is the best order to read them? I notice that Indian Country is a prequel for People republic. Should it be read before Peoples republic?
  18. Those look good. Id love to read them, but lordy 15 bucks for a paperback? Outta my price range.
  19. I understand the Tennessee law you talk about, but broader speaking, how is the 2nd Amendment permitted to be disregarded by States, by requiring special permissions and rules, when the 10th amendment doesn't say it can be? The 2nd Amendment doesnt say the right to bear arms...on your own property...
  20. One of several things I dislike about Tennessee's HCP law is that if you carry past a legally posted sign, you van be arrested. Never heard of that actually happening but you can be I think you might then be in jeopardy of losing your HCP as well. Some states wrote theirs a little differently in that it is NOT an offense.
  21. While I dont agree with our law that a business can ban firearms carry, I am otherwise a believer in property owners rights. But given our law DOES give property owners that right, they can ask you to leave at any time for any reason. Certainly they have the right to ask to see your permit, also, of course you dont have to show it, and then, of course, they have the right to ask you to leave, and if you dont, you're trespassing.
  22. Hope this all dont get worse...I didnt want to start my apocalypse being short on food.
  23. i listened to a b it of his press conference...he said these rifles are made to kill people as fast and as many as possible and have no need or place for them in Canada...
