  1. Wife's car has a flat, and I'm getting to the point in my old age that i don't want to change tires, lol. So, i want to just try to air it up and drive it about a mile to get it fixed. Any suggestions on a reasonable priced air compressor ? I live close to both Harbor Freight and Northern Tool, and am not wanting to spend a lot...
  2. I’ve known a few. First, my father served on either a battleship or destroyer (feeble minded me can’t remember which) and saw a lot of action in the pacific in WW2. He got out then joined the army and fought in Korea in the infantry, followed by service in Germany. He drank a lot. I believe he suffered from ptsd, although that wasn’t recognized then. I regret not being able to have adult conversations with him before he died. Second, I was stationed with and became good friends with a former USAF pararescueman (PJ) who was the most decorated enlisted man in the USAF, and I think still is that. When I met him, he was our first sgt, which in the USAF is a job, not a rank. He later retrained from thst into our police field and became our chief cop. He died I think in the early 90s. CMSgt Duane Hackney. Duane went to VietNam after his PJ training. Here’s a couple links about him, if you want to read about him. You will be impressed. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duane_D._Hackney https://www.airforcemag.com/article/0110heroism/ https://valor.militarytimes.com/hero/3553 https://www.wearethemighty.com/mighty-history/most-decorated-pararescue-duane-hackney/
  3. I have also struggled with responding to drivers idiocy with that finger. I try hard not to, and will try harder in future, me thinks.
  4. First thing I do when I get a new car is adjust this door unlock setting. I prefer them to not unlock at all, when inside the Car, only the door I open from inside unlocks. I even set mine to only unlock the drivers door on first push of the fob button, not all doors, when returning to my car.
  5. I got my lifetime retired LEO HCP at 65. mainly so I wouldn't have to worry about renewing, not to mention its free for LEOs.
  6. Merry Christmas to you Bersaguy, and to all on TGO!
  7. Reading that unpublished ATF letter, I see that one of the suggested remedies is to register your braced AR pistol as an SBR under NFA, but with a waiver of the fee, another is the removal and destruction of the brace. I have a couple questions about that. I know that for some who added a brace after purchase, no one may know you have one, but some of us bought our pistol new with a brace, so there is a record of it. Do you recommend registering or removal? Also, once registered as an SBR, could one then legally remove the brace and add a real stock, since its now a registered SBR?
  8. Did someone say new Glock model? Was it the Glockamolle model?
  9. I use one like this to connect my iPad pro to iTunes. It works fine for data but wont charge the iPad.
  10. My HP desktop has no lighting bolt next to any of the usb A ports, at least on the top and front. Cant get to the ones on the back.
  11. The laptop is a Lenovo Thinkpad. Its from work so i have little control; over settings. So you think I just need to get a ac powered USB HUB? Do you know if they make one that has USB C outlets and USB A connection to the desktop?
  12. I have a windows 10 computer and laptop, neither with a USB C port. My ipad Pro and a few other devices I have use USB C. Currently i connect them to my PC with a cable that has the old style USB plug on on end and USB C on the other. I can transfer data this was but charging doesn't seem to work. I wanted to get a USB hub that connects to my PC via the old style USB but first, I cant find one, and second, Im guessing it wont work. Anybody have any ideas for a solution?
  13. Prayers...
  14. Much as I despise Robert Redford, I love this movie and both of the ones he made with Paul Newman, as well as his spy movies.
  15. I don’t own any 80% stuff and have no plans to, but to mem the attraction is having unregistered guns in case guns are ever confiscated by the Gov’t in some ban situation. I know, I know, not likely, which is one reason I don’t have one, couple with the fact I’d probably screw up the completion, lol.
  16. Seems to me that felons and gangbangers have never had a real problem getting guns from other sources...
  17. No answer for ya, but how does the monitor work thru a USB C? Any issues with that?
  18. I agree! I hate that and I also hate the importer phrase, "based off of". It should be "based on." those and AX me a question are some of triggers lol.
  19. Did you ever get any suggestions for baton training? Im also kinda interested in less lethal options as well.
  20. I’m vacationing in the Gatlinburg area this week. They are very veteran friendly here. Several restaurants are giving half off any meal for vets, all month.
  21. That might work fo us until they get thru packing the court.
  22. Know any details about that? I'm guessing you mean gun buyers rather than gun owners though, as it would be hard to figure out who owns guns.
