  1. commercial ads on the site, not the listings.
  2. Not new to slings, but also interested in improving what I have...
  3. A close friend of mine was a USN Corpsman and other than one tour at Paris Island, spent the rest of his 20 on a variety of both attack and missile subs.
  4. Got a few friends who were submariners. Some great stories. I have respect for those they can do that. I couldn’t. Prayers.

    Keltec P-50

Anyone see these yet? I've always been interested in this cartridge, but FN's prices were always just too high for me. Ruger's entry was interesting, and this one is too. Still doubt I'll get one, but i do like it.
  6. I wish this red state could manage to pass one comprehensive gun bill that would fix all issues at once. The way our HCP is only a defense against charges of going armed is ridiculous. Also it being a crime to carry past a gunbuster sign is also ridiculous. Also why cant this bill prohibit completely lawsuits that were deemed legal by the legal system? Why cant a red legislature with a red governor do this right?
  7. I used to go on Volksmarches in Germany regularly. Most were from 5-20 kilometers, usually on easy terrain, but went on a 40 kilometer Polizei Volksmarch once. Wasn't prepared for this one at my advanced age, lol. (I was 38) Participants were all police officers, mostly German civilian, but also American and German military well. This one was on roads, in towns and in country, wooded trails and in places required the use of hands to help pull you up steep inclines. By far, this one was the toughest volksmarch I had been on. I was the oldest on our team, and no matter how much I wanted to drop out, there was no way I was going to not finish! Didn't set any records but I finished. Couldn't do it today. One interesting part of it was that when we wandered through a small German town, there were german women out on the streets offering free grapes, cheese and glasses of wine for us as we walked through. They support their police, lol.
  8. Im a plus sized guy, mainly a big gut. I carry my Sig P-365XL either at 3 or 4 o'clock position in a Crossbreed Supertuck IWB on either a SOE or Elite Survival Systems Cobra belt. My setup is comfortable Like others have said, it took a long time to figure out what works best for me. I carry a spare 15 round mag in a Sticky Holster mag pouch at 9 o'clock also on my belt.. I also have a really good leather carry belt for dressier occasions. Best advice is to carry always. I figure the one time ya need a gun is the time you don't have it. When I was overseas, we weren't allowed to carry off-duty, and there was a very real terrorist risk, so I carried a fixed blade in addition to a folder at all times. Nowadays, i carry a very small Kershaw Launch 4 auto and a Benchmade Adamas auto, both pocket carry in opposite front pockets, for everyday use.
  9. I have a used one that ive personally not fired yet/.
  10. When i carried my FNH FNP-45USG as my EDC, I carried OWB in a good leather holster, but eventually the weight of that gun with 16 rounds of .45 acp goodness in it along with extra mags of 15 rounds each of .45 acp goodness became just too much for my weak old self to carry, lol. I now carry my Sig P-365XL(with optic) in a Crossbreed Supertuck IWB holster. I alternate between an SOE Cobra belt and an Elite Survival Systems carry belt with cobra buckle. Both these belts are very rigid nylon webbing and fully support eh weight of the gun and spare mag i carry. I tried a We The People holster and while it was comfortable enough, it fell off my belt with gun in it a couple times around the house so i stopped using it., I also liked a Galco Mini tuck but couldn't use it after i added my optic. I agree with others above that a good holster coupled with a great gunbelt is the only way.
  11. Just looked at their web page and they dont say, as far as i can tell.
  12. I have 2 silver and 1 black of these for sale. I no longer carry a shield so its time to part with these. They replace the original base pads and follower to increase the magazine capacity of the 8 round mag by 2 making it a 10 round mag. They sell for 29.99 each new and these are used so I'm offering for 50 for all 3. Picture colors are misleading, one is black and 2 are matte silver. General Nashville or mid TN area, please.
  13. I emailed Benchmade asking if they plan on doing the new mini Adamas in an auto version. They answered: "Thank you for reaching out to Benchmade. The 2750SFE-2 or the 2750SGY-3 are the automatic version of the updated Adamas, that are going to be released soon!" They didn't mention an answer to my question, as these two look to be full size, but the two they listed are partially serrated.
  14. Permitless carry has some limitations that enhanced HCP doesn't have. Enhanced HCP has reciprocity with many other states in case you travel. Don't think your prior training other than military will count.
  15. When in my car, it is very difficult to draw my edc. Thought about solutions and magnets came to mind, in that I could carry the gun in a easy to reach place while driving, then put it in my holster upon arrival at my destination. Having more money than sense, I Bought a pair of gun magnets on Amazon, thinking . Once I got them, I saw in the directions that the adhesive strip is apparently to only hold it in place long enough to drill and mount screws, which I don’t want to do to my car. Of course now that I bought that, my Facebook is blowing up with ads for similar products. One, called Tac-Magnet from 2A4Life, says their adhesive strip is strong enough to not have to use screws. They are also affiliated somehow with NRA. Anyone have any experience with this or a similar product? Any recommendations!
  16. There’s a lot of confusion, not to mention interpretation. If a fella smarter than me wants to come enjoy with an easy to read chart listing the online, the enhanced and permitless carry and the rules for each one, I think it’d be a great resource! I’d like to se something in a chart something along the lines of the left column listing the ways to carry and places to carry etc, and the next 3 columns listing the types of permit, with appropriate Check marks as appropriate. Wouldn’t really be hard to do fir someone who really understands thus mess. Anybody?
  17. Nice! I have one of the ones with D2 steel in auto. I like it but its BIG! Looking at their web site, I see a mini, but it doesn't look like it is available in mini auto...anyone know different?
  18. Agree. I didn’t buy any. But I’ve seen it higher.
  19. Thanks. Just got back. Nice store. Looks like a decent range too. They had MAGTECH 9MM for 35 box of 50, and Sig V-Crown in 9mm for 49.99 a box of 50 plus magtech cases of 9mm but iforgot the price (sucks to get old). Think I saw a Glock or two in the display cases, lol.
