Me too, TV was on and I noticed music, and I thought well, what kind of award show is this. Turned it off after realizing it was CMA without country music. Why is it that they feel compelled to have non country artists on these shows?

Nice knife and well worth the price. I’ve got 3 similar to this and they are high quality knives. GLWS.

I’m a member at GOVX. Some of their stuff can be found cheaper, but sometimes they have some pretty good deals. This one looks good, but you have to a member to log in and see the price. Membership is free but you have to be military, LEO or first responder with credentials. Retired is also ok, and I think just veteran is too. When I looked just now it said $149.98! GOVX: This is BIG. Get 50% off the Benchmade Mini Osborne Folding Knife, a GOVX exclusive. Lock in all Black Friday Week for more daily deals. https://m.govx.com/oOtRU5

How do I tell if my Sig-p-365 xMacro grip module is the one with the older proprietary rail, as I suspect it is, or the newer one with the true piccatinny rail? Looking for one of Sig’s newer ones that has the true 1913 piccatinny rail, not the proprietary Sig rail. Sig has them for around 100 bucks, but I’m not positive which one I have. Looked at pictures on Sigs web site and I just can’t tell. edit: I found out my answer by asking on a facebook forum. Can’t see how to delete this post.

My local Gunshop gets these a lot.

I use their Baldr S (yes they use weird names) weapons light/laser. It’s bright (800 lumens) and mine has a green laser, but can come with blue if desired. I didn’t want a permanently attached weapons light. This one has a lever to quickly attach or remove so it’s perfect for me. I put it on at dusk and remove in the morning. I’m not sure how accurate the laser is with this mounting method, but I reckon inside my house, where I’m likely to use it, it will be fine. It has a magnetically attached charger that charges quickly, but to be honest, I’ve still not had to charge mine. I turn it on briefly every evening when I put it on my gun. Oh and it comes with Glock and Piccatinny rail mounting adapters.

I looked at these a while back when they first came out, just out of curiosity,a s I already have my Holosun optics and am happy with them. I am an Olight fanboy, having maybe maybe 15 or so of their flashlights as well as a weapons light. One thing I like is the forever warranty.

We really should change the title of this thread, LOL. I’ve been looking at bags online, I’m very hard to please. I sent my Vertx Commuter sling back. I see that Vertx has a new line called the Urban Ghost and I kinda like the 10L sling version but i am sure it will be too small. I also was looking at the Maxpedition Entity 16L sling as well. I think if they built a man bag store that had all the different bags to look at I’d be a happy camper! I don’t off body carry, I do carry extra full mags in my bag, and I have a Velcro holster attached in the conceal carry compartment, just in case, but I the other than making sure my gun fit and that I could deploy it reasonably fast, I don’t use it. I’m not giving up my essentials 10L bag for another 10L bag, what I’d like to have is a bag just like this but taller a tad. The Navigator isn’t any bugger, just laid out differently..does anyone on here in the Nashville area have a Maxpedition Entity16 that they would let me look at?

Depends on your budget. I try to buy at least one box of ammo every time I’m in a place that sells ammo. I tend to work a certain caliber for a while then change to the next. A few years back, a friend of mine and I went in together and bought cases of ammo to split. That built up my stock pretty quick. Since then I’ve acquired a few new calibers and really need to bulk those stocks up some.

i had to add a rider to make sure my guns were covered to the level i required. I need to check with my agent to see if i have any coverage if i have to defend with a firearm.
-
Whelp, I’m back to the Vertx essentials again. After loading and attaching everything to the commuter, it was just too big and bulky. It has a lot of advantages, and is an awesome non-tactical app earning bag with interior tactical features. I want to get it and a few other bags I’m not using together and post them up for sale on here really soon. I’m going to lose money on it most likely, so if anyone has been looking I g for one, keep an eye on TGO.

So far, it’s way more comfortable than the crossbreed mini or regular. This material is softer than leather.

I got another Vertx bag, the Transit Sling 2, but i didn't like it at all. Had less room actually than my essentials bag, above, so i returned it and ordered the Vertx Commuter 3.0. It arrived today and it is definitely bigger than the essentials, but I'm just not sure i like it enough for EDC. Dang I'm hard to please. I'm going to play with it for a few days and see if i learn to appreciate it. If not ill just stick with the Essentials bag.
-
It is. My only concern is if it will hold up in EDC wear. I loved it the 2 times ive worn it so far.

Welcome to TGO! Im from that area originally, now live near Nashville. I graduated from Red Bank years ago and still go back there to visit family. Have you ever been to Dub's Place? its a small hamburger/milkshake place in Red Bank, look it up or ask around. They were my go to when i was in high school and jr high school back in the day. The current owner bought the recipe for their crumble burger from the original owners. Its fallen out of favor with new customers, but i recommend you try one. They are awesome. I go there every single time time in that area.

I just got a T-Rex Arms Ironside Hybrid IWB kydex holster with a a soft backer. According to the manufacturer, who is in Centerville, here in TN I think, the backer is constructed of a soft, breathable, low-maintenance material called Alcantra. It is supposed to be water and stain resistant, and unlike leather or similar materials, it stays warm in the winter and cool into e summer. Only worn it twice so far but I’ll tell you this, it’s the most comfortable IWB I’ve ever worn. Fits my Sig P-365xMacro Spectre like a glove. I love it so far! I know at least one other on TGO has one.

I remember a thread similar to this a while back, but I couldn’t find it. I really have issues using the search feature sometimes. Anyway, just wanted to say what I’ve been doing and see what some of yall might be doing as church security team members. I recently joined my team and our church has a policy that security team members must undergo formal training before becoming a member and if being an armed member, must undergo additional firearms training including qualifying at the range. Oh and also CPR and AED training. We utilized Michael Mann Security Services for all of it. Michael Mann is a retired Metro Nashville LEO, and he led all of our training, including the range part. I found the training to be good and thorough. He included the required training for the State Armed Guard permit in case anyone wanted to get that as well, although it’s not required to be on the team as we are volunteers not employees. The range was all the way down in Woodbury. I found i learned a thing or two from him at the range, even though I’ve been shooting, either for work or privately, probably for close to 50 years. The range drills were realistic and up close, but really good. By the way, I scored 98 out of 100, which I thought was not bad for someone who hasn’t shot much in the last year or so. I have shot with my Sig P-365 Spectre a few times with the Holosun EPS Carry, but hadn’t yet shot it with my newer SCS Carry. Loved shooting with it and it shot way better than I did. The one shot I dropped was still a hit in the dead center of the targets throat! LOL. I am curious what yall are doing in this arena?
-
Good idea. Do need some, buddy? LOL.
-
I haven’t yet shot my Rock 1911 10mm. Looking forward to doing so though. Reckon I need some ammo!

From what I can see, across the whole country, sheriffs seem more focused on the law and the constitution than politics.
-
Mark In Hermitage, I think maybe you might be under the impression that The Davidson County sheriff and deputies are responsible for law enforcement in this county. They are not. They pretty much just run the jails. May still also do evictions, etc, but general law enforcement in the county is by the metro PD, except in those few areas within the county that still have their own PD, like Goodlettsville, Belle Meade and a few others. Most other county sheriffs enforce the law in parts of their county that doesn’t have city PDs. Sumner County is a good example of that.

Did a search h in the Apple App Store and saw a few but reviews weren’t great though.
