  1. Got there at 10, shopped, spending way too much money, then enjoyed the speakers, the best being Ronnie Barrett and Nikki of course. Didnt really dress for the weather so I waas outta there by 2! Thanks to David and all the rest who organized this...Like to see it again soon!
  2. What exactly did you do? Was it difficult to do?
  3. I paid more for a similar one earlier this year. Is it a WASR 10?
  4. I'm not sure of the actual numbers, Glocks may outsell many, but those who love their 1911 style pistols love them with an enthusiasm that is very emotional. Especially in America. Americans love Colt 1911 with a passion that exceeds the true value of that design. I think the design is a wonderful one, and I like mine, but I also admit that its one of those things right up there with Mom, apple pie and the American way! lol
  5. The Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance controls issuing of the Armed and Unarmed Security Guard Licenses. For Unarmed, see: Private Protective Services - Unarmed Security Officer/Guard Requirements For Armed, see: Private Protective Services - Armed Security Officer/Guard Requirements There are many trainers out there, but I would recommend you do lots of research and use a trainer that provides indepth instruction. There are good ones and bad ones at both ends of the economical scale. Security Officers have no more powers than any citizen does, so you MUST be thoroughly indoctrinated on the law.
  6. No I havent had a chance to shoot it yet, I can hardly wait! I will post a range report when I do...only downside so far is there arent a whole lot of accessories for it...only found ONE holster manufacturer, BladeTec that markets one...and the mags seem to go for 38-45 each. But it came with 3.
  7. Why can't I do this? I'm usually good with computers,...I posted the pics to Flickr as well as photobucket, neither seem to work. :-(
  8. Bersa Thunder 9 Pro and a FNH FN-45. ]
  9. It is posted but not with the legal signs.

    double star

Where is Buds? That sounds like a really good price...
  11. I'm getting my FN-45 out of layaway hopefully Wednesday.
  12. Wee you armed at the time? If so, were there any problems with the Police after the fact?
  13. My renewal came Saturday after a wait of 4 months. They were very friendly, but wouldn't do anything until it had been 90 days, said to call back then, so i did last week and the lady started the B/G check manually! She said they were busier than they ever had been, even busier than when they first started the HCP program.
  14. Does anyone have any experience with holsters for this particular gun? This is the newer one, ful size high cap (17+1). I have it on layaway and am trying to find possible holsters to fit it. Right now I usually use a JIT belt side for my glock that I like ok. Its an OWB type and it keeps the gun kinda high and tight, and I think I would like that feature for my Bersa also. So although I'm open to suggestions, I am leaning towards some type of high ride. I have had many problems with buying holsters for other guns that the holster manufacturers said would fit a particular gun, but when I got it, they didn't fit or fit right. SO what I want to do is try to narrow the choices down now, find some local distributors for the ones I want to try, then when I get the gun in my hands, go test them out at the stores.
  15. I remember hearing about this months ago...I saw the video of Obama saying that during the campaign. Wondered then what he meant and can't help but think back to the civilian force that Hitler had...what were they called? Oh yeah, Gestapo. Think about it. The constitution puts some very strict limitations on a national force like that..that's why the FBI has such strict rules on what kinds of cases they can get involved in directly...and also why the CIA can't legally operate here. I also like Glenn Beck. I have been listening to him for years and now watch him on Fox every night...I record his show so I can watch it after work.
  16. There is a site that is pretty good...- Gun Owners Club! - A Place for Gun Enthusiasts its free and guns seem to sell for lots there.
  17. I've been going there for several months now and although I havent yet bought a gun from them, I have bought many accessories, magazines, holsters and some ammo there. Small but VERY nice people.
  18. I e-mailed ALL of the Metro Councilmembers urging them to not support opting out of parks carry. I got ONE response. It was from District 8 Councilwoman Karen Bennett, and she said she was on our side of this issue. She also said that unless some councilmembers changed their minds, we were gonna lose this one...we need more support on this...call or e-mail the Metro council now~!
  19. You are right! We could do it. What we lack is not the ability it is the will. Ever since Korea, and especially Vietnam, we have allowed nightly news broadcasts to control our military policy. Take the reporters and cameras out of the area and stand back! However...there WILL be collateral damage/casualties. When you have a populace that is aiding and abetting the enemy, for whatever reason, they will suffer too. Accept that and watch the U.S. military kick ass.
