  1. At one time I was an instructor in the USAF, and conducted firearms training for Air Force cops. Our concept of Center Mass, was not dictionary oriented, but more based on roughly the center of the torso, with the thought that even a hit slightly off target would still have a high likelihood of hitting the torso/vital organs, whereas a shot targeted to the head or extremity for example, that was slightly off target would miss altogether, and possibly hit an unintended target behind.
  2. Not being a 1911 owner, I was somewhat surprised to see the word "caliber" spelled in the European manner "calibre" on this gun. Nice gun, and even nicer pics. I agree that #2 is frameable.
  3. Jean Reno was good with Robert DeNiro in Ronin.
  4. Does anyone know what will be affected when the rebanding of the radi system is completed? I understand that some radios wont work after that happens, or at least wont pick up the signals desired...and that some will...
  5. I don't think they do for the general public, but it was a business visit. I also visited the Outpost Armory as well after the tour.
  6. Yesterday my work afforded me the opportunity to visit and tour Barret Firearms. WOW! Was over a 2 hour visit including a great briefing and fantastic tour. I learned quite a bit about Ronnie Barret and the history of the company. Quite an eye opener. One thing in particular I learned that I didnt know was that they make 5 different guns. I had no idea they made 5.56 and 6.8 variants of the M4 style ARs. They were test firing some of those with suppressors as we got to that point in the tour. Got to fondle some of those guns, but didnt get to shoot them, lol. If you ever get the chance to do this I highly recommend it.
  7. No, they just responded to a query from me.
  8. Wow, I forgot about some oldies but goodies...some already mentioned but also A Bridage Too Far, The Blue Max, and for newer ones, yes the We Were Soldiers is one of my all time faves!!
  9. For mercenary, I agree with The Wild Geese. Outstanding movie with outstanding actors. Another I really like is Dogs of War, also an oldie. For non mercenary War, I think The Longest Day and Patton, for old school...and Saving Private Ryan for newer ones.
  10. Yep, love it. This is the last issue for non-subscribers! Get those checks in...

  14. He's right! I have a few Maxpedition bags, and they are high end...BUT, they are the best made Ive seen, and I bet they last. I use one of thjeir gearslingers for EDC.
  15. I'm not sure how much sense it makes, but I do too. How can you NOT want a pistol that holds 30 rounds lol.
  16. I just got an e-mail from Keltec that stated the new one will be in the local gun stores by August.
  17. Does anyone know of any hicap magazines made for any of the common .22LR pistols. Seems like all I see are 10 round max. I have several, and all have a 10 round magazine.
  18. I googled Iowa's carry law and the site I picked was a PDF file ( www.dps.state.ia.us/asd/weapons/wbrochure.pdf) was dated 2005. Seems like their laws are as bad or worse than ours...sheesh. But it's refreshing to see that some Federal judges are not nuts.
  19. My PF-9 had some Fail to feeds and fail to fires last time I was at the range. I am afraid to carry it now, even in the backup roile I got it for, and want to send it back for repair to the co. I e-mailed them and they saud to Fedex or UPS it to them. Has anyone had any experience with a. shipping a firearm back via fedex or UPS, and/or b. having Keltec repair a gun.I've heard that they will sometimes do a fluff and buff as well as repairs...does one have to ask for this? Would like to hear any experiences or advice you can give.
  20. A couple chunks of the Berlin wall I collected myself from when it was still there...
  21. I'll tell you why this guy may have seemed confused....his orders were so secret they stated, "Burn before reading!"
  22. Did some more research online and ran across my answer at A-Team, The (2010 - imfdb :. guns in movies :. movie guns :. the internet movie firearms database). Lieutenant Charisa Sosa (Jessica Biel) carries a Beretta Px4 Storm Compact as her personal sidearm.
  23. ok I went to see it today for some pure unrealistic fluff, lol. And I was not disappointed in the unrealistics thruoghout the entire movie. But there was one scene where a female LT was pointing her gun on a street, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of gun it was?
