    Got two here opening weekend but, with a busy work schedule and lack of gobbling it got tough quick. Congratulations Shawn, nice birds. I've never got to hunt Texas but, would have to be awesome.

    I've never killed any but, I used to see a few Ruffed Grouse. Not seen one in years. Quail are almost like that.

    I was at Gamaliel Shooting Supply about a week ago and they are letting customers in now. I bought some Winchester Longbeard ammo.

    Yeah, sometimes birds will be quiet but, still be interested.

    Yeah, that idea didn't work as intended.

    If you see them on the ground and out of the treetops, a .22 is great. But, when the leaves get thick and hickory nuts come in, they'll be up in the leafy tops. Pretty much need shotgun.

    I hope you can find one Sidewinder. They are good guns. I'm surprised they make it in .32 ACP.
