I don't buy much ammo. I think I bought maybe 200-300 rds. last year and 0 this year so far.

Looks like you got a decent collection going. Silver coins are the way to go. Morgans, Peace, and Walking Libertys are good coins to buy. Gold is of course good but, the price of them is usually pretty high. Halves like Walking , or Franklins are good too. Keep it up.

Tuffus, I read that a lot of the 196 4 cylinders had balance problems. I'm sure a good machine shop that specialized in motors could've cured that though. Sounds pretty cool though, with cylinders the same size as a 389 and a 389 head. Some they said even had 4 barrels.

One thing that I've heard and seen on videos is, a lot of cops will treat you with extra respect when they see you have one.

Johnson's are a neat rifle. They just didn't catch on. Winfield got a hold of mine years ago before I got it.

Probably will shoot as good or better in the 1903. I've got Garand loads that shoot a little better out of my 1903. You probably already know this but, they had the same loads for both rifles. Fired in Johnsons too.
