  1. But, he's the President's boy. He's "special".
  2. Yeah, I would think so too. Also this man's hairline seems to be receding back. Clyde was young when he was killed.
  3. I bet it is bad on recoil. Most single shots are about 5 1/2 lbs. or so. My Mossberg 500 is bad enough. What load are you shooting in it?
  4. Yeah, probably so.
  5. Henry is that a Stevens 301? What gauge? I almost got another this morning. I set up on a point that drops off to a little creek. He came right up to the point. Full strut and then stopped and stretched his neck for a good look. I didn't have a decoy out and he didn't see anything. Let out 4 or 5 putts and skedaddled. There was 4 or 5 sapplings between me and him. I didn't notice them until the sun came up. Couldn't get a clear shot. He was there and gone in about 3 seconds.
  6. Is anybody else screaming in their head, gettem gettem?
  7. Sad, but, true.
  8. That's what I was thinking too, Papa.
  9. Reason I ask is I'm hearing around $600-$650+ now. I thought they ran cheaper than that.
  10. I don't see how it ever got made. A lot of it would never fly today.
  11. Are you loading 20 gauge only?
  12. I think Cookeville Academy had that too, on Friiday.
  13. I got one right off the roost Saturday morning. Came in with 4 jakes. This morning ran one off the roost. Didn't know he was there, because he never gobbled. Heard a couple more but, way off.
  14. I shot it today and it still won't eject. I'm gonna take it out and check and look at it.
  15. I hear you brother. I'm hanging on to what I have. I will not pay what some are asking either.
  16. They did have several powders on the shelf but, I didn't see any IMR4895. I like it too, so was looking for it and others I use. I did see a few IMR powders though.
  17. I blasted it out pretty good, then oiled good. I've not got the chance to try it yet.
  18. You could put some locktite in but, I wouldn't use the strong type. Meaning the basically permenant stuff. It's so strong we heat it with a propane torch until it smokes to get it apart.
  19. They may have to change it to Checkday.
  20. I took my wife to the doctor this morning and saw a decent size flock in a field. Looked like a couple nice toms.
  21. I was at Gamaliel this morning and no IMR4895 there either.
  22. A friend said when he was a little kid, he was at his Grandparents house around supper time. He noticed a big pot on the stove with a lid. he took off the lid and it was Pintos with a hog tail in it. He said I wasn't that hungry.
  23. Yeah, he looks young. I've studied WWII history some, and getting close to the end of the war, a lot of young soldiers were forced into it. They might've been doing the same thing in WWI.
  24. Would the flowers be edelweiss?
  25. A guy I work with gets up at dark thirty about every morning. Can't get much sleep. Anyway he heard one gobble Yesterday morning. I need to get my butt up early some morning and see if I can hear one or 5.
