He said as he was leaving, trying to get on Interstate out of the Hell Hole, guys were "washing" windshields with dirty rags. He just put his gun on dash, so the asshole could see it. That's pretty much what I've heard too. Members of the dog family don't smell at all like we do. They can pick out separate individual chemicals in a a scent. It probably don't smell anyhing to them like it does us.

I know you asked about handloads but, this is factory. My brother has been hunting some with his .410. I know he told me last year he had killed a few with his. He did say it wasn't like shooting squirrels with a 20 gauge or 12 gauge. He had to keep his shots closer. I think he used Remington 3" #6 shot.
