    Ruger LCP-Max

Is this the one with a 6 round magazine? Also , Ruger makes a LC9 too, right?
  2. I was about to say the same thing but, was gonna add a excrement word.
  3. Yeah, for some reason they're not giving higher velocity or even normal pressure. The powder is several years old but, looks good and smells good. It may not be burning efficiently. Can't find Blue Dot or Longshot. Bought some Accurate No.7 today. Gonna work up a 1,000 fps load for it. Oh, you wanted to know gun. Don't laugh, Hi-Point JHP. Shoots good and has ate everything I've tried in it. Never jammed or anything, after over 500 rounds. I bought it because I wanted to see what the hype was about them being junk. As far as the cheaper guns go, they are the best in that arena.
  4. What I mean by that is, they look like new unfired primers except have firing pin dent.
  5. 4.5" barrel and like I said, primers looked very rounded and cases even had a little soot on them. Weird.
  6. Good location I guess.
  7. I shot some 8.5 gr. Unique with 185 XTP today over chronograph. Slower than I imagined. Averaged 890 fps from 12 feet. It was cool today when I shot but, still seemed a little slow. Primers look like I fired a target load.
  8. I heard a trucker on the radio a few weeks ago talking about Californistan docks. He said when he goes there to pick up a load, he may be there all day waiting.
  9. Machinist in stamping die shop. Mostly do changeovers but, sharpen parts and make a lot of parts too. I've done different things over the years. I started in a garment company, worked for a transformer company, worked for Dana Corp., and even a bait company. Been in machining for the last 10 years or so.
  10. If I was gonna buy a big bore revolver, I would get a large frame .45 Colt instead of a .44 Magnum. There's a thing called reloading that is good. If ya'll ain't checked it out already. Look up Linebaugh's loads for specially built .45 Colt revolvers.
  11. The mixture I mixed up with 4 lb. sugar, box of salt, 2 lg. cherry gelatin, 2 vanilla pudding dry mix, and 2 Jolly Rancher green apple gelatin. This works pretty good. Anywhere from 250 to 400+ pics a week.
  12. I've watched several of his Youtube videos. He's got one he built for himself that hits well over 3,000 fps. Very flat shooting.
  13. Looks like he tagged that cop car pretty good. Yeah, I agree blue lights at night can be pretty bright.
  14. Stopped in there today looking for some Longshot or Blue Dot. No dice. Had several different powders though. Didn't even think about asking for primers.
  15. You are correct sir.
  16. Yeah, that's not bad at all.
  17. Yeah, just like the rest said, buy a .44 Magnum. I know they're expensive but, that's the way to go. Old guys like Emer Keith, used heavy frame .44 Specials and loaded hotter loads but, not as hot as .44 Magnum.
  18. Yeah, in my experience anytime the cases are sooted up like that, it's mild. I loaded some 7.5 gr. too. May just pull them and go up a little on powder charge. I was thinking about carrying .45 for a possible close shot on a deer later on.
  19. I shot some 185 gr. XTP loads today loaded with 8.0 gr. Unique and got very rounded primers and black soot on the cases. I'm pretty sure they are on the mild side. I didn't have my chronograph set up, so don't know what they were moving along at.
  20. My uncle had a Series 70 GCNM back around '85, and it was very accurate with pretty much anything you fed it.
  21. That's what my uncle used. Loaded a few thousand 200 gr. swc cast with it.
  22. I've been leaning toward Longshot and Blue Dot. I've got American Select, Unique, and I think some CFE. Don't know if they will give faster velocities or not. Looking for 1,000 or maybe a little more.
  23. Thanks Greg. I ain't been by there in several weeks.
