  1. lol I make it a habit to keep my finger on the trigger of guns that have external safeties, you know, because there is noway they will go off. hmm... that could make a good avatar.
  2. Man it would be nice to be able to carry in restaurants here in TN... I eat out quite often, and wish I could pack heat while doing so, especially if the place is downtown or in an "iffy" part of town. Regarding MS carry in restaurants, obviously it is legal as long as the primary business is non alcohol related. I assume this also means that should you carry in a MS restaurant that sells alcohol, you can't partake in any of it right?. Can you be at a table with a pitcher of Margaritas as long as you are not drinking any of it?

    handgun on a flight

Thats strange. When that happened to me, the pilot asked me if I'd seen the inside of a Turkish prison.
  4. different amount of retention, I believe holsters for LE are rated at various retention levels from 0-3 or 1-3, 3 being the highest I think, usually maning some sort of thumb break strap or some sort of strap that holds the fire arm in to prevent BGs from snagging your gun. 1 would be no active retention probably. I would have to look up the specifics, but I think that is what level 2 means.
  5. mouse guns are cool. I like my 26, it is a big fat rat gun. I was looking at a p3at, but decided against it as a possible carry candidate because i dont want to keep buying .380 to practice with it. I'd use it more as a "gut gun" anyway probably. Oh well. Good choice with the PF9, still a very small gun!
  6. Cool, thanks for the pics. I like seeing where they are slightly prone to wear, so I can make sure I keep on top of my Glock to prevent as much of it as possible. Not that it really needs it though... This guys 21 is still going strong apparently: http://theprepared.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=90&Itemid=40
  7. Yep, if I had one of that size it would be a 23. Great choice.
  8. Mossberg 590, WinLite 1oz slugs, 00 buck.
  9. I have heard numerous stories about the 36 being problematic, it is unfortunate. It seems though that it's hit or miss, good ones are good and bad ones are bad. If you get a good one you probably wont have any issues with it. I wouldn't want to take that chance.
  10. I am waiting for my permit to go through, so I haven't carried outside of my home yet, but I have been carrying it around the house OWB in a Fobus paddle and it is easy to conceal with a long shirt. Once the permit goes through, I'm probably going to get a SmartCarry holster for deeper concealment. Check out YouTube for smartcarry holster vidz. A guy over on glocktalk.com, passive101 I believe, has made several videos using a 26 in the holster. No the barrel is not pointed at your "junk" while you wear it like most people would have you believe, it is pointed at the ground between your legs. lol edit: also, about the 36, it is considered the least reliable of all Glocks by many mot likely due to its unique single stack design. Also, with the single stack mag you are limited to standard factory mags. The 26 can use g17, 18 and 19 mags. 17, 33 and 15 rounds respectfully. How I'm going to carry it is with the stock mag no extension (to help concealment, it shoots very well without one trust me) and a G19 mag as backup. Plenty of firepower.
  11. I have a 26, it is also what I took the HCP class with. I was very close to getting a 27, but I was talked out of it by several people who either own both or have owned both. They are much better shots with the 26, the sharp recoil of the 27 makes it much harder to control well without a grip extension. The 26 is the way to go. If you need the grip extension, you are making the grip about as long as a 19 or 23. In terms of energy, you can put more on target with +P or +P+ 9mm than you can with the .45 in the G36, especially with it being a shorter barrel .45. The holes are 2mm smaller in diameter sure, but the hole is not as important as the penetration to vitals, especially the CNS. If 2mms is the deciding factor in being successful or unsuccessful, you need to go stock up on some lottery tickets and get ready for the money to roll in and never go outside when its storming because you cant stop lightning with bullets.
  12. I wasn't even aware that you could carry in a national park, when did this law get changed?
