  1. An old Jennings 9mm that was my friend's dad's. Literally jammed every other shot. Also, a P22. Bought it around 2009, and it was reliable, fun to shoot since it actually had recoil for a .22, but it was so inaccurate past 10 yards, it just wasn't fun to shoot. I know it isn't supposed to be a target handgun, but it literally shot paper plate sized groups past 10 yards. It was weird, it literally became insanely inaccurate past that distance. Other than that, had good luck with pretty much any modern semi auto pistol.
  2. I carried an LCP for years at my old job. It was just right for pocket carry, and I started having to tuck my shirt in, so my G19 wasn't an option any more. Plus the management had a no firearms policy, so I had to be careful about it. My manager was cool with it, he wanted me to carry, knowing my background. He was a good guy, so if I ever got caught with it, I would have said it was on me. I had no qualms about the weapon being able to handle the job if it ever came to that. I shot coke cans at 20 yards with it at Ok Corral just for a joke one day and I could hit 4/6, which was pretty impressive considering the barrel length and sights. I know better shooters than me could do better. That said, I expect to empty the magazine if I ever need to use it.
  3. No issues with it? I had a 27 as my first carry pistol and didn't like the recoil with Gold Dots, so I went with a 19 and couldn't be happier. Seems like a subcompact 10mm would be worse. Haven't shot one, so I can't compare them, but the .40 was too much in that frame size. Not too much as in I couldn't handle it, but I didn't feel that I could space followup shots adequately with the recoil. Thanks for the info.
  4. Lived in Middle TN my whole life, been shooting since I was 5, went in the Army and went overseas in 2004(thus the name). I moved to Washington state to smoke medicinal to help with my PTSD. None of the medicines they gave me over the years worked, and they had terrible side effects. I won't be speaking any more of this since it is still illegal in TN, hopefully that will change in the future, and people will be able to get their medical needs taken care of. Have been to a few training classes there over the years, and they were very beneficial. Will be back to TN for visits with friends and family, and to do plenty of shooting while I am there. Hope to be a contributing member here in the future, and teach and learn.
