  1. Good for him! I thought that one would go the other way for sure.
  2. That article doesn't make it sound good for the guy. At face value it seems like use of deadly force for defense of personal property.

The one I shot has a very tight slide release too. Shot good though. Appx 75 rounds so far no failures...
  4. We had a Bud's issue. Ruger Alaskan came in with only 1/2 a rear sight blade. Bud's offered an exchange with no shipping or transfer help. Luckily Ruger's customer service shipped the blade out immediately no questions asked.
  5. Yeah, I shoot @ cherokee.
  6. Hello, Do you shoot up at the rod and gun club?
  7. I sold my cmmg .22 drop in bolt after it kept blowing smoldering powder back in my face. And fired a round that was only halfway chambered. They are dangerous IMHO. Love Spikes but high prices and long delivery times suck! The CMMG Quebec looks great and is priced to sell!

Got one in today. Sold immediately. Trigger pull was not bad. Wont fire w/out magazine hate that. Sights are functional. Gun was a bit top heavy IMHO.
  9. They actually have them at walmart here.
  10. I wish they would have put a shorter stock on there for Athena. She would have kicked dude's butt if the gun would have fit her... They need to work on the camera angles, the paint balls were a dud b/c filming was so terrible. I also hated the way they showed a random target getting shot during the competition. It clearly was the same target used in the demo...
  11. No, I did not change the gas setting. Bet that would have fixed it. Good idea! By the time I got the Sig out we were cold and ready to split. Gonna give it a good running soon.
  12. Went to the range last weekend. Finally, got the .308 sighted in. IT was cold and nasty, but I decided break out the new Sig 556. First time trying it out. Was just basically function testing (ie wasting ammo)... The rifle shot well with Privi 62 grain no misfires nor malfuntions. However, Wolf 55 gr was a major flop. We had close to a dozen FTF using proven CMMG, Magpul, and Colt mags. It was fun enough to deserve another chance, but the 556 will not be replacing my AR anytime soon...
  13. The drama got my wife hooked, and has made her more interested in shooing. Bring on the fireworks!
  14. I like the show just how it is. In a panic someone in the group would run towards the familiar vehicle just on instinct and adrenalin . In the same panic several of the group would follow the person running toward the familiar vehicle without question. I see how the herd mentality could get them past an M1 and into a shoddy RV.

I've got one on preorder, but who knows when it will be.
  16. Kwik Site was pretty good about it. Emailed them the pics, returned the rings to them(shipped on my dime), they shipped me a replacement set(on their dime) turn around was just turn around time for shipping. Dont really trust the replacement rings on a large caliber, but i'll throw them on a .22 somewhere down the line.
  17. Back in College I got pulled over by campus police. Had a boot knife in my truck, spent the night in jail for intent to go armed. After that I scrapped the knife, got my permit and started carrying...
  18. So I think I may have found the problem. Do you think this much twist in the rings would cause me not to be able to sight in the rifle?
  19. Put a set of Burris xtr on it. Hopefully that solves my grouping issues...
  20. They are lots of fun, amazingly accurate. But not much of a survival tool with out a poison dart frog to coat the dart tips.
  21. Don't forget about us MTN folk. The state doesn't end at Knoxville
  22. They are some cheap kwik sets, but they worked just fine with the other scope? Gonna have to break down and order some real rings.
  23. I buy and sell on GB a bit. Aside from the fees selling is quick and easy. I've sold items from a $2000 rifle to a $10 butterfly knife never had an issue. Yeah the fees suck, but so does paying for a classified ad. I've bought a couple of guns that had overstated conditions, but for the most part everything has been completely as advertised.
  24. Bought a Bushnell 3200 10x40 for the FN Patrol bolt 308. Got it mounted and took it to the range Saturday. 50 yrd sight in took 4 rounds and it was on the money. Moved the target out to 100 yards. Checked the screws and noticed the rings were loose at the base. Tightened them down and tried to shoot in at 100 yards...that's when the drama happened. Could not put a pattern together at all. Would shoot 3" right one shot then 3" high on the next shot...basically chased that thing all over the paper. Never did get a group together. Now this thing was shooting just over MOA 4 shot groups with my cheap tasco. Anybody have any ideas as to why this scope would not hold zero?
