  1. Yeah, carry them both what's an extra 4-6 pounds in your pack. What's with all these sissy thru hikers trying to shave ounces anyway!
  2. Yeah, i'd suggest buying him a long bow. That should be primitive enough vs the machete.
  3. Ebay and Paypal pretty much follow Kalifornia doctrine when dealing with firearms and accessories. I once had an auction closed b/c I was selling stripper clips for 5.56 ar-15's. Its all in the wording. The system automatically sweeps the listings and deletes based on catch phrases.
  4. One thing I would not do is drive around in circles shooting and drawing even more attention like they did. Had they just quietly slid into the house with a safe room ready. The herd may have passed on by like they did on the highway.
  5. The problem is the tool can do many things, just none of them well. The bottle open was nice, but the rest of it looks like a trip on the fail boat.
  6. Nothing more annoying than a brass hound...they are always creeping closer and closer to the firing line to get that next piece....its brass not gold and certainly not worth getting your pinky toe shot off for....
  7. I've not tried the x-tac, may have to look some up for next range trip.
  8. Took the Spike's rifle to the rod and gun club last weekend. It was pretty dang cold to say the least. Shot the rifle at 75 yards. Had a couple of short strokes using wolf 55 grain. 0 problems with 62 grain wolf and imi. Was able to muster this 4 shot group with PMC bronze 55 gr. I'm calling it a 1/4" group with 2 fliers since I am an internet ninja and all... I shot about 6" groups with the 55 gr wolf and a frozen trigger finger
  9. I've not seen a Sport in Months at Davidson's, RSR, nor Sports South.
  10. That's a huge exposure to the shop and the idiot. Amazing!
  11. Made it. Spent yesterday at ARF.com.....glad to be back.
  12. Truly feel that if Newt, Mitt and BHO are the brightest and the best we have to lead the free world. We're screwed anyway....
  13. Does the sport have a .223 chamber vs 5.56? The S&W site says 5.56, but Davidson's lists them as .223?
  14. For a collector's piece look for matching serial numbers. Russian Izzy's are the best! Not really but slightly more rare. I have a Russian Izzy $300 and a Norinco (Chinese) $199 fit/finish is better on the Russian, but they both shoot the same. Never had a misfire or malfunction out of either one. Most the aftermarket SKS stuff is garbage esp high cap mags. Tapco 20 rnds have a good rep but never tried them. Tech sights are nice. Buy lots of stripper clips and wolf and live happily ever after.
  15. If she would have been a he, and the dog a full grown pitt; I suspect they would both be dead.
  16. Check out RRA piston driven system. LAR PDS Carbine. Pretty neat rifle.
  17. Spike's Tactical Got about $1k in it as it sits. The scope is now in a Burris Pepr ring set.
  18. That's the best advise for any CCW holder. Should be one of the first things taught in the class!.
  19. We worked a few gunshows before the economy tanked. Shop lifting is very common. At a show in Greeneville, Doc from Tac 2 got a suppressor lifted. There were people who were known shoplifters that everybody would watch, and the show hosts would follow around.
  20. Hey from Kingsport. Welcome!
  21. I'm afraid with all the tv drama, the rifle would not be worth the wait nor the cash. +1 on the colt off the shelf.
  22. Did they charge you a "black rifle" tax?
  23. Reminds me a lot of the walther p22, which i'm not a huge fan of. Look forward to the range report!
  24. Before you consider a Mossberg 930, please go to mossberg owners forum and read the troubled history of the 930 spx. I had two of them both were lemons. They look good, feel good, and can't be beat for the price....don't be deceived.
