  1. +1 on not getting the kind with the grooves. We have it and its a real PITA. But yeah its real easy to install, just like a jigsaw puzzle for big kids.
  2. I've eyeballed them on the net, but never seen one in real life. The price seems right though.
  3. I've been happy with Kershaw if you like spring assist.
  4. I've had good luck with these products and/or great customer service warranty issues. 1) Shimano 2) Toyota 3) Chacos shoes-Sandal split in two and was at least 2 yrs old. Replaced no questions asked! 4) Makers Mark 5) Mag Lite-battery leaked light replaced no fuss or fight 6) Kershaw 7) Vasque boots
  5. Lasik worked for me. 8 years 20/20 vision. Couldn't see past the end of my nose before.
  6. I would go with the RRA too. Been crushing on a SS 1:8 for a while.
  7. After Clinton's 2nd term, GWB's 2nd term and BHO's performance. It is my personal political philosophy never to vote for an incumbent. Short terms and term limits for everyone including judges should be mandatory. No golden parachutes, no lifetime pensions. They need to get into office, serve and get out.
  8. This one was caught on a shimano symetre, its a fresh water reel but they have served me just as well in salt water. Shimano is my reel of choice. Profile pic was caught on a Spheros. That reel has held up to some major abuse and fought some nice redfish and sharks. My second pick for a reel would be the Penn Slammer. For the Rod, I like St. Croix, but I would pick at least a 6.5 to 7.5' rod for casting plugs and spoons on windy days. For the money its hard to beat the shimano brand rods. I have a crutial and a compre. I like the medium heavy with fast tips. Seem a good mix for soaking bait and slinging spooks and gotchas. Check out tackle direct online.
  9. They maybe shady, but they do make a nice rifle.
  10. Here's the quote, so nobody has to just take my word for it. The chrome bolt carrier group was a not an additional price on the rifle sale Operator 2 Series, so the price will not be reduced. Unfortunately we had no other choice in the matter, if we didn't change the option than the rifles would have been on indefinite backorder and production would stop, we made the decision to keep the rifles shipping with a black carrier. It by no way reduces the quality of our rifles, a chrome carrier simply aids in ease of cleaning because carbon does not stick as easily to chrome, it does not enhance the function of the rifle. If you would like to keep the chrome carrier group option we can do that, but the rifle will be on INDEFINITE backorder and will need to be confirmed and changed by the dealer ONLY to reflect the chrome carrier option. Once the rifle is changed to reflect the chrome carrier, if at any time you decide you do not want to wait and would like it changed back, it will start the order over for the date of the change, if the sale is no longer valid the order would be canceled or kept with the chrome carrier substitution. We did give notice on the website as soon as the change was made.
  11. Just got off the phone with them. Their stance is deal with it as sold or return the rifles. No free mag no t shirt. Just take it and tuff cookies.
  12. I ordered direct from RRA, so they are on the hook for this one. I would have been fine with the bolt carriers if they just would have notified me in advance vs trying to slip one by. That's just too dang shady. Who know's what other specs were changed with out notice...
  13. I ordered 3/15 and provided my ccard info at that time. My card was not charged until the rifles shipped 7/31. It is their written policy per their CSR. This wasn't a small order either, b/c my FIL ordered 2 rifles too. So it was $3360.00 Like you say a mag or a couple of T shirts would have gone a long way. Emails aren't working so i'm gonna start calling. This was their response to my request to a $50 per rifle refund. "Unfortunately there is nothing that we are able to do about the chrome carriers, I understand your frustration but our website states that we reserve the right to change prices, configurations and specifications without notice, this change was not taken lightly and weighs heavily with the company and is not something that we ever wanted to do. You are more than welcome to call into the customer service department and speak with a manager regarding the your complaint." Buyers beware...
  14. So here's the situation... Back in March RRA had a sale on their rifles. The price was right so I ordered a couple. One of the features listed was a chrome BCG. Long story longer 4.5 months later the rifles finally arrive. Everything is all nice and good. Then I notice a green note card in the box stating that due to supply/demand they are unable to supply chrome BCG's with these rifles. Effective 7/10/2012. I immediately contacted RRA, and they refuse to take any action to rectify this situation. Merely stating that they reserve the right to change specs and pricing with out notice on all future and current orders. I feel like I got the old switch-a-roo here. I mean on most rifles the chrome BCG is a $50 adder. They did not charge me any less. I realize the difference in a phosphated BCG and a chrome on are minor. Still, the product I received was of lesser value than what I ordered. I think they should have a least contacted me prior to shipping, so I could decided if I wanted to cancel or keep the order... Am I just being a big baby here or what?
  15. Nothing wrong with a little haggling and even a little low balling. What burns me up is when you accept a low ball offer and they dont have cash in hand. If you make someone an offer be ready to follow through with it.
  16. I'd jump in on a group by for 1-2k 9mm 147 gr hollow points.
  17. Sad thing is he left through the emergency exit got his gear and returned through the same door. A simple open door and alarm will sound style fire alarm could have hindered his reentry.
  18. Way things are trending they maybe over a $1k in a couple months.
  19. Um, where were the adults? And what kind of day care keeps 9 yr olds and toddlers together?
  20. yeah I thought we already had laws to keep them out of the hands of "criminals" his administration seems just fine with giving them to the drug cartels. i guess its ok to have them on mexican streets just not ours.
  21. I guess SKS has gone up in price due to import restrictions against China. But I really can't see over $500 for an AK. That S&W sport is by far the best deal going, but they are so hard to find in stock.
  22. 25 yard group with my 452 American. It has the 18" threaded barrel. I believe I was shooting bulk rem golden bullets or thunderbolts. This is the 100 yard group. It opened up a bit lol.
  23. It's been said before, but there are only 2 reasons why people watch that show.
  24. Problem with the big bore guns is the noise bringing other Zeds in. I'd go a pick a couple of good .22lr's and an oil can suppressor with a few extra oil cans.
  25. I'm in Kingsport and have the front and rear tools. If anybody needs to just shoot me a pm. You can swing by the shop and use them. I put a set of trijicon on my G19 was real easy.
