  1. Keep in mind; They will not issue an ffl for the sole purpose of Internet sales, gunshows, and transfers. Must be retail sales with posted hours. Also, most distributors will not work with you unless you have a store front. Manufactures will exclude you from stocking dealer programs without a store front. I've had an ffl for 4 years through my instrumentation business. margins are 5% or less. You can't compete with buds guns and the internet. Toss 9.75% sales tax in there and you can't even sell guns at cost. I'm happy to share my experiences with it.
  2. The baker should be able to refuse service to anyone. It's his business to run as he sees fit. Why would they want one of his hate filled cakes anyway?
  3. Most of us can't afford enough ammo to need a chrome lined barrel...
  4. I'm in Kingsport and will do your glocks for free. Don't have an xd sight tool. I do have both the front and rear glock tools.
  5. Agreed if the gov comes back any thing other than a zed. I'm done... Seemed like the prison situation was salvageable. Other than the swarm of z's that will be drawn to the gun fire.
  6. Not bad for a young guy. If that trigger spring is hopping off the bar on that bersa you can send it off for repairs. But it takes 8 weeks.
  7. Got a toy poodle and a double barrel 12 ga. Switched from the mossy pump to the sxs b/c the vp I should.
  8. Thank you guys for putting this together! It really gives a lot of us the chance to afford a premium set up that we would not otherwise been able to afford.
  9. Praying this turns out for the best!
  10. Thanks for the tip! You saved me from an unnecessary purchase...
  11. Before your application is approved you will interview with a field agent.  They will request to see your business license and inspect your premises. They will request that you have a safe or bars on the window basically a means of securing the firearms.   There can be exceptions such as proximity to schools and other zoning issues in cities and counties. They wont give you an FFL just for internet sales, transfers, and gun shows.    You will be required to keep all firearms on the premises listed in a bound book, and be subject to inspections.    The margins on firearms from a distributor vs say Buds gunshop are typically less than 5%.  Many times Buds sells for less than wholesale plus shipping. When you have to collect 7%-9.75% sales tax on purchases you wont be able to offer competitive prices.    Another negative to a home based FFL is most of the distributors will only work with you if you are a stocking dealer with an actual store front.     Also, in order to be competitive you will need to participate in stocking dealer programs.  Most of which will only work with storefronts. Apparently Glock even sends a sales rep out to verify your store is up to their standards.    Honestly, I don't see how most gunshops are able to stay in business, and compete with internet sales.
  12. The problem with erac is it is ran by a bunch of fresh college grads. The rules and policies are basically made up on the fly and enforced or not based on the whims of individuals. I worked there for Appx 4 years. The only thing worse than doing business with erac is working for erac....long hours, low wages, washing cars in a white shirt and tie...conning and lying to people so they buy insurance just so you can keep your job. It requires constant manipulation of the numbers for a manager to keep their job and for trainees to get promoted. Technically the renter of the car is responsible for all charges, erac just agrees to accept insurance billing as a courtesy. If there is a delay beyond 30 days in payment from the ins co....your ccard is getting hit. If erac gets a hunch the ins co may not cover the entire rental your ccard gets hit. Almost always without notifying the customer. Never ever leave a debit card on file with them, that is just asking for a world of hurt. They run authorizations on the card in amounts at least double the amount of the rental. That ties up your cash for Appx 12 days. Go on and complain. Heck call jack and Andy Taylor in St. Louis.....whatever was done to make you mad has been done to countless others...it's the erac business model and has made them billions. You may get a free upgrade card...maybe even a weekend special, but somewhere in the fine print erac will get you...
  13. Yeah I'd rather put my wiener in a meat grinder...
  14. annnnndddd a clean pair of shorts for that guy!
  15. Check out frog lube
  16. Apparently firearms aren't allowed on the boat ramps according to the TVA signs, but I always carry. Few places in east tn scarier than an unlit boat ramp at 3am. Never seen Twra or TVA at the ramps late at night. Seen plenty of those dudes w no boat and no fishing gear just lurking.
  17. My 2 experiences with s&w repairs have been extremely positive.
  18. M1 carbine stock for my ruger 10/22. Very thin very slippery finish. Complete Chinese garbage. Knock off Chinese la rue buis.
  19. Sounds better than a trip to the wax museum for sure!
  20. You got a good buy on them. From what I have read the best ammo for defense in a .380 is ball ammo. You just don't get good penetration out of hollow points. Google the box of truth for some real interesting tests.
  21. Go to good for the money can't beat a set of red ball waders.
