  1. Got the 4x4 truck and AWD car to get home and around. But when they shoot off a EMP bomb I will have to go to old school. The horse, good low tech transportation. It has served us well for many mango seasons.
  2. when it comes to 123 batteries it is best to buy name brand.  to many other brands and large pack of unknown brands these days that are not as good as the name brand.  when it comes to 123 batteries you can pay now or pay more later.
  3. #9 is what i use on all my guns.  have been for many mango seasons.  just works and i like the smell.
  4. galco ankle glove and galco belt holster is the only way to go.   all ways buy a good named brand holster they last longer and hold up better.  don't go cheap when it comes to your holster and belt.
  5. 5.11 dress belt have worked for me for several years daily.  when they give it up i am going over to the beltman brand.
  6. i like the kkm and efk barrels better.  my lw barrels are ammo finicky.  i got one of the 40/9mm conversion barrel and one glock 36.   they do not like my cast lead reloads. both will shoot factory ammo all day long, just not my reloads.  the kkm and efk barrels shoot my reloads all day long.  i called lw and asked them about it they told me their barrels are not made to shoot cast lead reloads or any other reloads.  they told me to shoot factory ammo in them.  they said the barrels are made for factory ammo.  they told me to shoot 200 rounds of hot ammo to break in the barrels.  they said i could send them back and they would open the chamber a little for a price, over $35.00 plus shipping each. i told them to forget it.  i buy after market barrels to shoot reloads in my glocks.  the glock barrel is a good barrel and will do all you want, except it is not made to shoot cast lead.  i have heard that some people do shoot cast lead in glock factory barrels.  but not me.   when i can find a kkm or efk barrel for the glock 36, the lw barrel is going up for sale along with the 40/9mm barrel.
  7. get the s&w.  you will thank yourself later.
  8. many mango season ago i was in need of a spear shaft.  could not find anything that worked.  so off to the woods i went.  there are many small young trees that will fit what you are looking for.  i found the size that i needed for the spear shaft.  i made one with the bark on and one with out bark.  i put some type of clear stain/oil on it.  today both are hard a steel and lite weight.  i don't remember what type of tree i used, but i guest it could be oak because that was what we had around the farm.
  9. back in the 60's my best friends dad own the chev dealership in summerville ga.   when the new cars came out he would keep them behind his house covered up with tarps until release day.  i got to help covering them up, and drive them to the dealer.  so i was in the know.  today's cars all look the same.
  10. i drop a speed strip in my pocket when i carry a wheel gun.
  11. s&w model 36.  s&w model 19.  s&w model 29.  all are old school and great shooters.
  12. looks like a good deal.  i got an very old cav arms polymer lower that i used to build a truck gun.  it turned out to be a great shooter.  at first i kicked myself for getting the lower, but after i match it to a upper and saw how it grouped and shot i was sold.
  13. i got an old 8k gas one that i use at the pole barn.  the best thing i can tell you is to get the biggest one that you can buy.  you can not go wrong with bigger.
  14. you do not need it.  you can shoot the gun without one.
  15. ooltewah at one time was the place to live.   still is if you overlook the ooltewah high school.   several years ago they started busing from inner city area to the high school and the school now has a gang problem.   the high school is packed full with students.  they had to build a new high school in the apison area, east hamilton high school.  good school so far.  the best place to live at this time on the east side of town is the east hamilton high school area.  the other good places are hixson and soddy-daisy.  but all places have some type of problems.  pm me with your phone number for more detail info of the best places to live in the chattanooga area.
  16. s&w sigma in 9 mm and/or 40 s&w.
  17. get them all the time.  they run in groups for several day then nothing for several days.  if i do not know the number i do not answer and i do not call back.  if you can not leave me a message i do not need to talk to you.  i done the do not call list and reported them to the list.  i answered some and asked to be taken off.  but,,, they still make it to my phone.
  18. i got a bunch around my place too.
  19. i don't think they have any tours.  they did not when i went there.
  20. i would buy a glock 23.  then i would get a 40-9 barrel and glock 19 mags.   i would get a 357 sig barrel.  now you got three guns in one.  then i would get a good light for the rail.  several good named brand holsters. then use the rest of the money for ammo.
  21. the g2 glock 19 is one great gun.  the round count on my 80's model g19 is very high and it still has the factory spring/trigger in it.  i would shoot it as it is and don't worry about changing out springs.  if it is not broken don't mess with it.  if you have a chance to go to the metro atlanta area you can stop in at glock.  they will rebuild and check your gun while you wait.  the last one i had done took about 30 minutes.
  22. my college roommate had one and he could pickup girls all night long with that boat of a car.   that boat could run real fast, it had a big motor.  but that was many mango seasons ago.  he sold the car and got a amc javelin.  now that was one good looking fast car.
  23. amc pacer was one hell of a car in it day.
  24. very funny.
