  1. the guy is a distraction. the left wants us to go for him in the next election.  don't get wrap around his ideals.  he is smart and worked hard for what he has,,,, but he is not what we need in a leadership role for the country.  do your own fact check to see.
  2. Had problems last night. Have not tried today.
  3. sorry, hope you can get your amps back.   it has gotten to a point that you can not leave anything in your vehicle anymore because of all the dirt bags.  they will trade them off for some dope.
  4. p3at in a galco pocket holster for me.

    Glock42

i am a glock person.  been carrying one on and off duty since the later 80's.  a glock to me is the best made gun going.  but i just don't understand why glock made the g42 a 380 acp.  the gun should have been a 9mm.  there are too many smaller true pocket 380 acp guns on the market that are smaller than the g42.  i carry a p3at in my back pocket daily.  i don't know it is there.  i tried the g42 and it was just to big for my needs.  but it is a glock and it will just shoot.
  6. you can but them on line cheap.  i know the last ones i got were cheap.  don't remember where i got them, got some with some of glock small repair parts.  don't think i even change them out.  did not see a reason to do so.  just was buying some spare parts.
  7. i have been shooting the glock 40 since 1998.  i also reload for it.  i do use a aftermarket barrel for the cast lead reloads.  the first glock 40 barrels made many years ago did not give full case support.  so when you reload the brass that came out of the gun you could have a problem if you did not full length resize the brass.  but i have never seen one blow up or had one blow up on me.  i got several of the first made and they got a boat load of rounds through them.  the newer glock 40's have better case support over the gen 2 and some older gen 3 guns.  i look at it like this,,,, if i shoot cast  lead reloads in any of my glocks, i use a aftermarket barrel from kkm and/or efk.  if i shoot factory ammo i use what barrel that is in the gun at the time.  if i shoot fmj reloads i use what barrel that is in the gun.  i know some that shoot cast lead in the factory barrel without any problems.  i don't, i do not want to take the chance. but i have never seen one blow up from leading of the barrel.  yes, they are out there, i just have not been around to see first hand or know anyone that has.  i have only heard of it on the internet.  so use your new glock with ease of mind.  it is not going to blow up on  you.
  8. i got a 2004 6.0 f250 so i know a little about the motor.  yes they have problems, but not all of them. i did the work three years ago on my truck to correct the problems.  the big problems was ford used the wrong coolant in them.  they used the ford gold coolant that is for a gas motor, not diesel.  this caused the problems with the oil cooler and egr cooler.  the head studs are only a problem if you use a tuner and want to hot rod the truck.  go over to the diesel truck sites to read on what to look for and how to fix the problems.  get a scangauge before you buy and use it to get the "delta" reading of the engine oil temp and coolant temp and the "ficm" reading.  the scangauge will give you all the reading you will need to get a overall idea on how well the motor is. the ford diesel sites will show you how to do this and what to look for.  this way you will know how much work you will need to do correct the problems.  if someone tells you that he has done the work ask for receipts.  no receipts, then no work done.  no way to see/tell if the work has been done by looking at the motor.  you can get a 6.0 with low miles for a very low price these days.  it does not take much to correct the problems.
  9. the area where the apartments are has turned into a crap area.  more dirt bags than normal people.
  10. i pickup a beretta jetfire in the mid 70's.  one of the best 25 acp going at the time. still a good pocket gun.  i carried it as my "bug" on the job in the 80's.  dropped it in my back pocket and carried on.  it all ways went bang, no matter the ammo.  lots of people make fun of the 25 acp, but i don't see them volunteering to be shot by one.  your gun looks like the same as a colt 25 acp.  they were made overseas for colt.
  11. they make some good ammo.  the free and/or cheap shipping makes it better.  when i don't feel like reloading and they have free shipping i buy from them.  we got north georgia reloading that has the same prices/ some what lower than freedom if you go into the store.  19 miles from the house so i got it good all way around,,,, reload and/or buy from two good locations.
  12. the two pictures that you show of your gun has the standard slide release not the extended slide release.  glock has a factory slide release that had a bump on it that helps, your top picture.  i got them on some of my glocks and on others i don't.  the standard slide release work good for me.  i took the extended one off my duty weapon and put in the normal one. i did the same with the extended mag release.  the only time i use the slide release is during a hot reload.  all other time i pull the slide back and let go.  it is more line a slide stop.
  13. the older the better when it comes to lever guns.  look for something in the early 70's and older. marlin and winchester is the way to go in the old guns.  35 rem, 30-30, 44 mag and 357 mag work well.
  14. The first cut is all ways the hardest cut. Once you start you know that you can not go back. Even today when I do one the first cut is still hard.
  15. looks good to me.  they are not hard to do.
  16.  kerosene heater.  old small sears model.  has worked well for 20 plus years.
  17. it is not hard to do.  i have done several over the years.  but before you start i would look to see if you can find one for sale.  they pop up on ebay and other sites.  when i did them i used a hacksaw for the first cut.  then i shaped with small hand files, bench grinder, and/or a dremel.  i never had any light strike problems.  the ones that i did look as good as factory.  i found one on ebay several months ago, now i need a j-frame to go with it.  call s&w to see if they have one.  i have gotten small parts from them this summer when i was working one a j-frame basket case that i gotten.
  18. i all ways find it at wal mart.  the 35 rem is a great deer gun.  back in the 60 and 70 you either had a 35 rem and/or a 30-30.  the 35 rem was a little better in the woods and had a better knock down punch over the 30-30.  i have used both for many years.  ammo can be found except when it get close to deer season.
  19. looks like their price has come down.  last year i stopped in and the same box was $99.99.  so their price has come down.  yes, i have stopped using/buying at any place that gouges on 22 lr ammo.  if more people did we would not be in the mess.  i vote with my feet and money.
  20. i hope the flea market guy has to eat the ammo.  the ammo will make it back and with more stores not putting it out at the same time each week it give us normal guys a chance to buy some.  the price will come down next because people are not going to spend money on high price ammo when they need to spend it on high price food.  $30.00 for 325 rounds is just to high.  i hope bud's eat it too. sportsman here is now putting the 22 ammo out at different times and days.  now they don't have the monday morning long line of butt heads waiting at the front door at oping to get the ammo for resale.
  21. nice looking parts gun.  i did one last year from parts that i had left over from several builds and from parts that i got over the years.  well, it has turned out to be one of my best rifle that i have made.  it rides on the floor board in the truck, get kicked around, shot a lots, clean very little,  about the only thing that get oil is the 'bcg".  but it keep on shooting.
  22. this problem is a problem with the parents.  i have raised two kids and several grand kids around guns and they have never wanted to do something like this.
  23. i am a glock person, but the m&p is a good gun.  either/or you can not go wrong.  look for the one that has the best price.
  24. back many mango season ago when i lived in base housing on biggs army air field they gave each house a push reel mover.  i tried it once and went to sears to get a real mower.   what a pain in the butt to do.
