glock missed the boat many mango season ago on the small single stack 9 mm. if they comes out with one the size of the kel tec pf9 or smaller then count me in. the problems with small pocket guns they can have problems that their bigger brothers don't. also, some people just can not shoot them. it is the "limp wrist" factor. i do not think glock will put out a gun that will not be as good as the g17/19/26 group. so for now it is g23 and carry on.

ATF raises new concerns about AR-15 ammo
frankmako replied to Oh Shoot's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
i got two remingtion xp-100 in 7mm-308 and 30-223. both are rifle cals in a pistol size gun. so are they next? i got several t/c contenders in rifle cals. are they next also? they will keep on and we need to stay on them. once we let down it will be all over. we are at the tipping point. look at all what is going around us. they say to buy gold for hard times. i say to buy lead for harder times. -
i have gotten many kel tec pistols over the years. only one i got new. i love buying used guns for a cheap price. never had a problem asking for repair parts, call them, tell them the part number, and part is in the mail free. when they changed to the the original purchaser i am still able to get free parts on a phone call. when they started this original purchaser thing i had to send in a pf9 barrel and slide. they replaced them and all i had to do was to pay shipping to them. same thing when i had to send in a p3at frame/grip combo that the original purchaser jacked up the install of the belt clip. i don;t know how many rounds a kel tec gun will last. but i have shot many in them. no they are not like shooting my glocks, but still fun to shoot. but for the money they are a good value.

he sounds like a fun old bird. but people from that time are hard as nails. prayers for you and him.

started reloading in 73 and as far as i know i have not double charged yet. or as far as i can tell. i use powders that all most fill the case and/or 1/2 of the case in my pistol reloads. so if there is a double load it is easy seen and when i index to the next station powder comes out and it easy seen. for rifle i still use a single stage press and two very old powder drops. i like doing 50 to 100 at a time dropping powder. i set them in a holder and before seating bullet i use a light and look inside them. on both of my dillons i use a home made mirror setup that lets me see inside the case on the bullet seat stage. i do not load hot loads, i load easy loads that are fun to shoot all day long so if i did a double charge it should not/could not/hope not/might not be bad if i did double load.

nice rifle. makes a great flame thrower. you will have fun. -
i reload lots of 45 acp. have been for many mango seasons. i like picking up range brass and sometimes find the small primer 45 acp brass. i just throw them in a can. just don't need to mess with them at this time.

the case support problem is with the 40 s&w factory barrels in all glock 40's guns. there might be the same problem with the 10mm, but,,,but,,, i have not seen it or heard of it. the other glocks calibers do not have the problem. they have the correct amount of case support. so with your 9mm and your 45 acp you do not have a case support problem. they say do not shoot case lead in glock factory barrels because of the type of rifling glock uses. some people do anyway, i do not. kkm, efk and others make their barrels to shoot reloads. yes they cost more than other brands, but you get what you pay for, and they shoot everything. as for the lw barrel that i have they do not work well with reloads. i got them used and cheap.

in chatt we got lake winnepesaukah. hard to beat it. get a all day ride pass for cheap. you can ride all you want as much as you want. food prices are like normal fast food chains. they have live bands on some saturdays nights. been around for years. i use to swim in the pool in the 60's. in chatt we got a lots of other stuff to do and the prices are better than dolly wood and etc...

cheap heavy ugly gun that works. what is wrong with that? i don't have one, but if one comes along for the right price it will come home with me. it will make a great replacement 4 wheel gun.

that is a good one from the "dark side".

cheap paint or cold blue is the way to go. or just oil it after each use and be done. -

with lw barrels and lw conversion barrel i had no problems with factory ammo. had problems with some reloads not letting the gun go into full battery. no problems with my reloads with factory or other aftermarket barrels. i called lw and they told me that their barrels were for factory ammo only. not for reloads. they told me to run several boxes of +p factory ammo to open up the chamber some and/or i could send the barrel to them to have the chamber open up for a large fee. so that is why i like kkm, efk, and bar sto barrels better. i know they will shoot what i load in them.

good, good, good. man i needed that today.

the bulged is from the 40 s&w glock factory barrels. never seen any with the glock 9 mm and/or 45 acp. i used aftermarket barrels in all my glocks when i shoot cast lead reloads. i have barrels from kkm, efk, lw and bar sto. they all work, but i put the lw on the bottem of my list. the 40 s&w brass bulged is from the factory barrel because the factory barrels do not give/have full case support. aftermarket barrels have better case support and has less case bulged. they say it is not good to shoot cast lead in glock factory barrels because of the type of rifling inside the glock barrel. but there are many that do without any problems. i don't do it and i use after market barrels for all of my reloads.

ZQI SS109 and regular .223 ammunition at Wally World

as it goes,, band one type of ammo opens the door to band another type of ammo. where does it stop? it stops when the government has total control of us. -
before it is all over you will pay sales tax on everything you buy from the internet. the governments has to get the money to pay for the bums.

i have had good luck with the kel tec p3at. i got one around 02 and it has never given me any problems. it is in my back pocket daily. round count is around 800 which is not high for it age. this gun is not a range gun. i dropped in the northwood trigger because i was one of the beta testers for northwood. nice trigger but the p3at was ok with out it. the gun will shoot five mags as fast as i can pull the trigger and reload without any problems. so to me the gun is good to go as a carry gun. also kel tec has a great repair and/or free parts for their guns. the kel tec was so good ruger model their lcp 380 after it.
