  1. Very nice! Thanks for sharing the photos.
  2. Welcome to the site. There are a fair number of us here from the West TN area.
  3. Good looking pup.  Keep posting the pics. We love it.
  4. What a cute puppy.  And looking at those paws I suspect he's going to be a pretty good sized boy when he's fully grown. He has no idea how lucky he was to get adopted by the two of you! Congratulations!
  5. Take care of yourself. And update when and as you can. Know that lots of thoughts and prayers will be said for you. Hope to see you back on here regularly soon.
  6. I've got a friend who bought one earlier this year.  He loves it, and after shooting a few rounds through it just after he got it I can understand why. Nice rifle!
  7. Awesome job.  I wouldn't even know where to start with one in that bad a condition. Great save!
  8. Sorry to hear this update.  I was really hoping Ernie was doing better.    Our dogs have always been in the house with us, and have been just about like children, although better behaved than some of the children I know.  And every time we've lost one of ours, there have been so many times over the first few weeks where we would stop and look for them out of habit.  Just expecting them to be on their bed, or asleep in the corner, or following me around, etc.  The pain doesn't ever go completely away, but it does get easier over time.  And then of course before too long we decide we're ready for another 1 or 2.   We'll be thinking about you guys as you work through the grief process.
  9. Prayers sent for Brandon and for the families of all the victims.
  10. Glad to hear that Ernie is doing better.  I hope you spoiled him rotten today!   Our two rescue dogs wound up with more presents from friends and family members than we did.   Hmm.  Maybe folks like them better than they do us???  That's food for thought! LOL!
  11. Wow, ya'll really did have a tough day yesterday.  I hope today is better!   And I hope Ernie is continuing to improve!  Our puppies are just like 4 legged children in our house and when one of them is sick it is a crisis.   Keep us posted when you can.
  12. Thanks for the update. I'm just glad she's home safe!
  13. Great news TDR.  I was really worried through the first 7 or 8 pages, but I've got tears in my eyes right now knowing that she is back home safe.  I'm sure the entire family still has some "stuff" to work through so know that there are still a lot of people praying for all of you!
  14. Wow.  Glad they finally figured out the problem.  Prayers said that the surgery tomorrow goes well.  I'm sure after a year you're both ready for her to feel better.  Keep us posted.
  15. Certainly better prices than anything I've seen locally in a long, long, time!
  16. Beautiful knife.  Now be sure and show us some pics using it!
  17. He's a great looking pup.  Looks like he's got lots of personality. Just be sure and take lots of pics as he grows up.
  18. Great story, and a great friend. But you're right, I would already be planning payback for that one, he got you good!
  19. Wow those look brand new.  Awesome job restoring them and getting them running again.
  20. Our condolences to you.  We've been down this road a couple of times and it is always a challenge.  And yet as difficult as it is to lose one, I'll trade that brief sorrow for the years of unconditional love in a heartbeat.  In our case, after a few weeks or a few months we always decided that we missed the pitter patter of little feet on the floor and were ready to adopt another 4 legged member into the family.  The two we have now are both rescues and while we love them both dearly, we still talk about and miss the ones who came before them.  They will always be part of our lives and our hearts.  As I know Millie will always be part of yours.   Our thoughts are with you!
  21. Glad you're ok! That could have been much worse. And a good lesson for all of us.  It's easy to get lazy and complacent at times.
  22. I stopped at our local Wal-Mart last night.  Surprisingly they had the best stock of ammo I've seen since December.  They had a few boxes of most items, but still no 22LR.  They had 6 boxes of the Federal 9 for $14.97 per 50, and a few boxes of Federal 22 mag for over $ 18 each!  The clerk was in the floor with the pricing label gun.  She said all of the prices were going up!
  23. Great article. Thanks for posting it.
  24. It's getting better at our local store, but nothing like that.  I haven't seen any 9 or 22 at our Wal-Mart since the madness started.  But I do see some 40 and 45 once in a while.  Two months ago I was out of town in Georgia visiting relatives and stopped by one of their Wal-Marts for something.  While there I wandered over to Sporting Goods "just in case" and found 6 boxes of 22Mag on the shelf.  First I've seen in months.  So I bought 3 boxes and walked out of the store grinning like a kid at Christmas.
  25. Very nice.  I've always liked those.  I still kick myself for walking away and leaving a Savage 24C on the shelf at a gun shop about 4 years ago.  At the time I didn't know what it was and just thought it was "interesting".  After I came home and did a little research I was hooked, but of course it was gone before I could get back to the shop.  I may never run across another one, at least not at a price I could afford.
