I enjoyed reading your well thought out post. I'm definitely interested in hearing your follow up thoughts as you try out the different knives you've ordered. Keep us posted! -
Good luck at the doc next week. Hopefully it will turn out not to be anything serious!

I loved the link to the owls. That was cool. Here's one to a Bald Eagle nest in Rome, GA with 2 eaglets. They're feeding as I post this. http://www.berry.edu/eaglecam/ -
We were watching an old Perry Mason episode last night on TV, and a VERY YOUNG Leonard Nimoy was in it. He will be missed!

Prayers for you and for your family. We just lost my dad less than 2 weeks ago, so I understand a little of what you're going through. Glad you were able to reconcile before now, and definitely try to get there as soon as you can.

Sorry for the pain, but I'm glad you're back home. Hopefully the surgery was successful and the healing will go well! Thanks for the update.

That is cool. I love little unique things that you don't see every day. Thanks for sharing!

Glad they came up with a treatment plan that is less invasive. That's definitely good news. And we'll lift you in prayers!

That was cool.

Great picture, and congratulations on the new little one! I'll have to admit that when I saw the title of the post I thought, what in the world is this doing in the zombie section. Then I saw the picture and understood!

Praying for your Dad's physical health, and even more importantly for his spiritual health. I trust that the two of you will have time to talk openly about things soon.

Sorry for your loss! It always hurts so much to lose one that is part of the family. And I know how empty the house always feels after we lose one! For days I keep turning around expecting them to be right behind me, or curled up on their pillow, or in the middle of the floor begging for food! And eventually the silence and the quiet becomes too much, and we decide it's time to start the search for the new adopted 4 legged family member.

Condolences and prayers for your family! And you're right, we lost my grandmother 6 years ago at the age of 94, and they just don't make them like that generation any longer!

Sounds like your plate is really full right now. Prayers and good thoughts sent your way! Keep us posted as you can.

Congratulations! That will definitely make your Christmas more fun!

Glad Colt is back home safe and sound! You never know how these stories will turn out, so I'm real glad this one had a happy ending and your buddy is back home Thanks for the update.

Well it's about time you posted a new pic of Roman! I've been wondering how he's doing and was starting to think maybe you weren't feeding him and taking proper care of him. LOL. He's a great looking dog and I'm glad he's doing well. Thanks for sharing the photo.

That is one beautiful knife. Now be sure and break it in with a little deer blood and guts next week!

This may not be the right place, but they are kind of similar.

You've probably already checked, but our local craigslist frequently has tents and other hiking camping gear listed. You just have to watch it frequently to catch it when it posts. -
Loved the pics and glad you were having a good day! And I'm glad to see you haven't lost your sense of humor! I'm in great shape considering what you've described. And after watching several loved ones deal with cancer over the last 10 years I've realized how much we tend to take our health for granted until we've lost it. And I've gotten better about appreciating the good days! Thanks for your post.

Very interesting. Definitely keep us posted and show any photos as you can. Looks like a well thought out and planned project.
