  1. Amen to that. Do your looking at G&A and buy (order) at Range USA. Cheaper prices. Don't let that "pay cash/debit card and they waive the tax" thing fool you. Even with that deduction they are still higher. Plus the people at Range USA are the best. I'd rather give them my money.
  2. Welcome from another Shelby-ite.
  3. This is totally a self-serving bill aiding a company with a patent. Thay have no moral "skin" in this. They are taking advantage of idiots who will try to pass this thing thinking they are helping society. Pray this never goes through - anywhere! If you are not an NRA member, join now!
  4. I've got an M&P 9mm. On a scale of 1-10, I'd give it about a 7.5. Not bad, but not great. I'm quickly becoming a Glock convert.
  5. Funny, just had this same comparison conversation (offline) for my own upcoming purchase. I'm a 9mm fan. Going with the lighter G26 and all the Federal Hyda-shocks I can find. Glock dependability!

    Best 9mm List

Yes, kind of an odd list. Kind of question the motivation whenever I see lists like this.
  7. Folks, Please state your preferences on IWB holsters. Thanks.
  8. I hear you David. I'm asking every level-headed person I know to join, asap!
  9. Two great movies seen recently: Gran Torino and Valkyrie. Yes, I know...I'm no Tom Cruise fan either. Got to give him credit though - awsome movie.
  10. Welcome, from a fellow Shelby Countian!
  11. Welcome Mitch. Been thinking of a G26 or 27. Have a 9mm already, tempted to stay there due to the supply I have, but keep hearing folks playing down the 9mm...that it won't stop a crack-head unless I can unload the whole mag. How's the recoil on the G27? Use a mag-extension?
  12. Welcome from a fellow Shelby County res. Been think about a G26 myself. Like it?
  13. Shelby County (Memphis) will always be #1. If you've ever been here, you'd know why. And the permit number is growing each day.
  14. Oh no, the stuff looks normal. I'm starting to think it's just needing a good cleaning. Thank All!
  15. Heard recently this was going to be changed (for the better) - but not yet.
  16. Hey, congrats Cyber! I'll be taking a permit class in a few weeks. Can't wait. I had a guy tell me they give you a new drivers license and/or put something on it denoting your carry permit status. Is this true? Have not heard anyone else mention it.
  17. It's Independence ammo for sure. Using a pretty new S&W M&P 9mm, standard size. Have only put thru ~350 rounds, but it wasn't on the Indy. Trouble began as soon as I opened the first box. A couple I retrieved had light strike marks. Jammed it good one time. Guy at range thought it could use a cleaning. Seemed to think that was the real issue. Going to do so tonight. Yeah, 11.99 sounded kind of cheap to me too when I bought it. Thanks
  18. Anyone had a bad experience with this brand misfiring? Bought a couple of boxes of FMJ 9mm, 115gr. Had a misfire about every 7-10 rounds. Fairly cheap in price. 11.99 for a box of 50.
  19. The Republicans tried this back during Reagan's 2nd term. I doubt it will happen, no matter which side tries.
  20. Just look at his 2A voting record and his rating by the NRA.
  21. Not in the attic. Summer heat is bad.
  22. Good place and good people. Reasonable prices. Good classes.
  23. Oh yeah - ammo. I find prices better or comparable at Bass Pro. But they were cleaned out on HG ammo this last weekend. G&A had a somewhat better supply the other day. Same price at Bass Pro on Federal 147gr 9mm. 50 cnt box.
  24. Yes, G&A's service can be a tad painful at times, but then the place has been rocking since the election. Pay cash or debit card and they wave the tax. They do have a great variety. Nice area of town btw. Ha-ha.
  25. Welcome from a fellow Memphian!
