    Lack of Rental Guns

Try RangeUSA in Memphis (Bartlett)? They have a pretty good supply of rentals.
  2. G26, DM Bullard Dual Carry. Works pretty well. Kind of depends on the shirt I wear. Darker and/or patterns help on printing.
  3. Got a G26. Have Pierce extensions on a couple of mags. I would not shoot IDPA with it regardless. I'd take my std size S&W M&P9.
  4. Bass Pro - Memphis on 9/1...lots of 9mm Winchester.
  5. Found a bunch there today, mainly Winchester. I left plenty. Cheers
  6. O's own Operation Valkyrie!
  7. The term "hate crime" needs to be abolished. It, in and of itself, is racist. This was a horrible crime no matter what you call it. The guilty deserve the needle. Actually they deserve much worse. But, I'm convinced God will handle that end of it just fine.
  8. Welcome from another neighbor.
  9. Welcome from another Shelby-countian.
  10. I'd say that if I were looking for trouble, I would not have bothered getting an HCP.

    22lr Handgun

Ruger Mark III Hunter 6 7/8" bbl in stainless. Luger style, not the 22/45. Or if you have deep pockets; the S&W Model 41.
  12. If this were true it would be all over the news.
  13. +1 - DW CBOB - best 1911 for the $....if you can find one that is.
  14. You might try renting at RangeUSA. I know they have a G26. Not sure about the XD. I have the G26. Have never shot the XD. I do like the G26 for carry (IWB). I have Pierce extensions to get up to 12+1. Got them mainly for the extra finger placement on firing, but have found I like it even more for aiding the draw. I shoot it just as well, with or without the extensions. Extension doesn't seem to hurt in printing either. I doubt you'd go wrong with the XD though. I think it just comes down to personal feel. Good luck.
  15. Those guys from Chicago will think they've died and gone to heaven, with our much more sane gun attitudes here.
  16. Have a DMB Dual Carry as well. My advice is to get their Keydex J-clips to replace the metal clips that come "standard". One of the metal clips kept snagging my untucked t-shirts on draw. The J-Clips work real well, tucked or not. About $20 more, but worth it. Also, don't bother getting their optional leather belt loops. For me they caused too much printing. Or, maybe do as OhShoot did and get some MTAC Kydex "overbelt" clips (please correct me if I've misspoken here OhShoot). On the whole, a real quality holster.
  17. Good for you Mary. If I'm ever by that way... God Bless
  18. Voted. Yeah - they will bury this. Didn't go as planned I'm sure.
  19. Welcome from another Memphian. TWRA range in Bartlett? Haven't heard of it.
  20. Agreed - and I consider myself a devout Christian as well. However, the separation of church and state is a good thing. The founding fathers had a lot right, besides 2A. Personally, I think the hardline Christian right is doing the Republican party more harm than good. I hate to see another party go down that road.
  21. Wont' take long before this will be required reading in the public schools. Goes along well with the subtle daily mind control they put on our kids re: Channel 1, alcohol, tabacco, firearms, etc.
  22. Memphis Pizza Cafe in Germantown is NOT posted (surprisingly, given their Midtown roots).
  23. I think this is a much better idea. Having a big organized turnout at a non-posted place (like that Johnny Brusco's) will be better.
  24. I'd check out this 1911 forum. Some good info there. 1911Forum - Powered by vBulletin
