  1. Must have been stuffed by TGO members. Ha! Ha!
  2. Ramsey sounds good to me. Hope he can carry the state without Memphis, cause he won't fly here.
  3. Break it in with FMJ first. As said here, you do need to test your JHP carry ammo. Yes, it's more $ but you don't want to find out the hard way that your gun doesn't like certain JHP. I'd run at least 2 boxes of what you've settled on. Should have no failures (in those 2 boxes) before you can trust it.
  4. I forsee the People's Republic of Kalifornia making this required equipment down the road.

    Got wood?

Looks better to me. I like wood grips against SS.
  6. He wants to get re-elected. He'll wait for when he has nothing to lose.
  7. Sorry, but I'll stand by what I said. The first 3-4 times I took it down in field strip I had to hit it with a nylon hammer to get the barrel off. Now it's loosened up. I've seen people hit it on You-Tube and I think they either hit it or tell you you can hit it on the Ruger video. It is a fact for some folks anyway, and I find that ridiculous. The thing is I heard all this going in, so I can't b_tch too much. I'm just saying (love that) you should never have to hit a gun with a hammer to get it apart, even if it's only the first few times.
  8. The best pres of my lifetime, hands down.
  9. Winston Churchill, I'm pretty sure, said this one. I like to think I had my brain at 16. I was the only Nixon lover in the group I hung with. Boy did I pay dearly for that.
  10. Amen to this advice. I keep posting this 1911 site below. I spent a lot of time on this site before I took the 1911 plunge. I did not end up with what I had planned on getting (a Kimber, what a coincidence). 1911Forum - Powered by vBulletin
  11. Pics please, injuries as well.
  12. Rayburn does not want it to be left to him to post. That's his whole problem.
  13. Very nice. Felling a real need for an S&W revo.
  14. Pics please!!!!
  15. Personally, I like the sights that come standard on the Glock.
  16. The MKIII is a great shooter, but the take down & reassembly is just a pain in the butt. I'm sorry, but you should not have to hit a gun with a rubber hammer to get it apart.
  17. Same here. Never had a misfire on them in 9 or 45.
  18. Echo-ing Warbird here... Why did you lose the 1911? What was it? Problems? Sorry, I just can't fathom anyone getting rid of a 1911, unless it's to BUY A BETTER 1911!
  19. This is a no-brainer. Stay away from GAP (ha, if you can find it too). The cartridge that did not need to be invented. .45 ACP all the way!
  20. Dude, post pics please. Revolvers are some of the best looking guns. Sorry, can't help ya here in the drain hole (sorry Jack, I keep stealin' your tagline).
  21. I'm a big 9mm fan and I'd love to have the Beretta. Don't be swayed by the Taurus' lower price. I've heard too many Taurus horror stories and experienced multiple failures on a friend's Taurus (albeit .40). Ya get what you pay for, in this case.
  22. I like hearing about more people buying M&P's (S&W in general). It's my favorite plastic (in 9mm). Happy Shooting!
  23. Patriot, Trust me, you are doing the right thing getting a 1911 first. I wished I'd have known how great they were before I loaded up on plastics. To me there's just no comparison. Not sure if you've been to this 1911 site, but I like it. Spent 3 months on it before buying my first 1911. 1911Forum - Powered by vBulletin Now you will run into some 1911 purists who swear by JMB's original design, and will not touch a variant. To this I say B.S. S&W makes good 1911's all with external extractors. Good luck.
  24. Did anyone go to this? I'd have gone if I wasn't busy last night.
  25. I could care less. But if he's charging higher than what I can get at Bass Pro, forget it.
