  1. I would not worry about the match issue. Might be kind of moot anyway. RIA is a good way to get into the 1911 format.
  2. Pics?
  3. There's a special place in my heart for Isreal. They do not play, period.
  4. Welcome, from a neighbor.
  5. Greatest Pres of my lifetime...easy. I'll bet he's rolling in his grave over what is going on now.
  6. I'm sure Bill booked his one-way ticket to the "lake of fire" long ago, and for stuff said worse than this.
  7. Boy I hope the 1911 wasn't hurt in the crash to the floor.

    Glock 27

IWB DM Bullard "Dual Carry" at 4 o'clock-ish for my G26 (same dimensions as G27).
  9. I mixed boxes and put 9mm in a .40 (G27). It fired, but an FTE. Jammed it. No real harm.
  10. You beat me to it. Good 1911 site: 1911Forum - Powered by vBulletin
  11. IMHO the full length guide rod is not needed.
  12. Welcome aboard.
  13. Ok, I guess I start my Levi's boycott this weekend. Was actually going to get a new pair. Not now! Thanks for the heads-up.
  14. Well done Dallas...excellent job! In your face you elitist, hypocrytical a_hole.
  15. Yeah, and I'm not too keen on the slide stop & thumb safety either. I've seen lots better looking SS 1911's.
  16. Thanks all. Appreciated.
  17. Another vote for DM Bullard "Dual Carry". Gun Leather, Concealment and Cowboy holsters, Azle, TX.
  18. A question particularly for folks who've trained at both: which do you like better for training?
  19. Now I know why you can't find 380. People who don't even need it are scarfing it up.
  20. Have used WWB FMJ 230gr .45 quite a bit. No problems. That's a great price for a box of 100.
  21. Dang...nice hardware.
  22. Got a bad feeling about McDonald v. Chicago. Chicago always has a knack for getting their way via some skullduggery. Too many biggies involved: Daley, The Big O, and Oprah for starters.
  23. If the 2A really was really respected we would all be open carrying anywhere, without a card in the wallet. That being said, I think it's each citizen's repsonsibility in carrying to have attended a few HG classes. Most important are the defensive classes where you are drawing from a holster. The HCP class is not a training class. It's pretty much a joke.
  24. Assuming you have some kind of holster, I'd try to find an "intro" defensive HG class where you do holster drawing. Other than that, I'd take as many classes as you can. I'd recommend some places, but they're here on the wrong side of the state.
