Yeah I think the penalty far outweighs the crime, especially when you consider that some states actually allow a legal consumption limit while carrying. That must be the bone they thought they had to throw. Not that I condone drinking while carrying, I don't. I would not do it no matter how legal it was. I just think that penalty is way out of line.

DW's can be found. I'd go to the DW subforum on this site below. They have a sticky thread at the top for small guns stores selling DW's. Yeah McGill's quality is a bit cheesy. I do have one of his on the Glock. It's a bit generic really on shooting and carry techniques. It does have a good section on a detailed strip of a Glock. Anything with Clint Smith or Mas Ayoob is usually good.

So how do you like the triggers on each?

I agree, this conversion stuff is best left to Sigs. Being new to guns, go to a class first. Any decent range is going to supply the gun if you don't have one. They will probably let you try a few out. Don't be in a hurry to buy. I wished I'd done a lot more homework before I got into this. Can't emphasize the class thing enough, and the HCP class doesn't count in my book. Patience Grasshopper...
