    Which 1911 and why?

+1 $1800 for a CBOB? I really doubt it, nor would I do it, if true. I can maybe believe $1800 for the new VBOB in the new Duty Coat.
  2. Good response from Ron Ramsey. I wonder if Haslam would be so fervent? Kind of doubt it.
  3. Agreed. For the conservatives this might be a "take what you can get, it could be worse" situation. Hard to say how she'll go, with NO JUDICIAL EXPERIENCE!!!!

    .22 Plinker?

Ruger Mark III. Be advised takedown is not a lot of fun at first. Otherwise, really good 22lr.
  5. Jack, I doubt I'll be there. Been out of town a ton this month. June-July's looking better for me.
  6. It took a long time to get this country's head where it is concerning OC'ing. It's going to take a long time to turn that feeling around.

    Which 1911 and why?

Yeah, as much as I endorse the CBOB, there are other guns out there. Do some homework, take some test drives. Most accurate 1911 I ever shot was a beat up old Para I'd rented.
  8. To be continued...Wife shoots husband with clean 1911.
  9. What they need to do is jettison Socialism.
  10. The problem with the NRA's endorsments is that they are only centered on the 2A issues. If you ever watch/listen to Cam and Co. you can tell they really skirt the other issues. Their policy is keep the incumbent if he/she is pro-2A. I can see why they do it. It falls in line with the narrow focus they intentionally have. It makes their decision easier. But there is more to voting, beyond the 2A... I think the Tea Party if it does not become an official party, ought to become a more visible endorser of candidates based on all constitutional matters, including the 2A. Can you imagine the power it would wield if it had a very public face like Wayne LaPierre and published internet rankings of candidates? I think this is where the Tea Party needs to go as a group. Model themselves after what the NRA does with it's "2A only" rankings and expand it to cover the rest of the constitution, and as well fiscal responsibility rankings. They can be this watchdog that is just as feared as the NRA. I would not just leave the 2A rankings to the NRA. The Tea Party should do it too. It's the whole package people! I think their rankings would then become more important than the NRA's.

    Ruger Alaskan info

Yeah those squirells will be little puffs of fur with a 454. Here's a good revolver site where you can find lots of threads on Alaskans. Btw, you gotta hit those "squirells" dead on in the nose or you won't stop them.

    Which 1911 and why?

The CBOB. You can probably find one on GB or GA. There's a locator thread as well on the DW subforum on this 1911 site. This is the site I used to bone up on 1911's before taking the plunge. I was sold on the CBOB and still am. 1911Forum - Powered by vBulletin
  14. Good site to do your Revo homework on. Handguns: The Revolver Forum - TheFiringLine Forums
  15. Good for her. +1000. I'm sure that Council could care less, and probably think she's a Hispanic "Uncle Tom". And I'm sure that Keith Olberman will have this run in a loop on his show. HA!
  16. The main problem I have is no judicial experience. Of course, the Messiah had no experience in an executive position like Mayor or Govenor, so I guess to him she's totally qualified. Thankfully it's one liberal being replaced by another. We've got to get some more pro-gun rulings with the 5-4 as it is before (God forbid) the Messiah gets to replace a conservative with a liberal. The Republicans will bluster and moan, but they'll end up passing her, unless there's some bodies buried somewhere. Being a bull-dyke is not going to stop her.
  17. I think this is a non-issue.
  18. You've come to the right place. You can pick up a lot of good info here. Lots of good folks too. Welcome.
  19. Well August is the party primary for govenor. We'd better get the right republican in there, at that time. To me it's Ramsey.
  20. Haslam is the classic "connected" politician. Very slick, polished, and plays to his audience. To me, he has questionable loyalties surrounding the 2A (re: MAIG).
  21. Bass Pro off I-40 and Macon. They usually have something in the usual calibers. Decent prices. RangeUSA usually has Orange box (Tenn. Cartridge) at decent prices. They're technically reloads but they are good. Bet you think you died and went to gun heaven getting out of the People's Republic of New Jersey? TN's gun laws aren't the best, but they're better than NJ's, that's for sure.
  22. Tiger, you did the right thing...nothing. Gotta pick your battles.
  23. +1...they will be put on my ever growing list of places I boycott.
  24. Where ya been looking in Memphis?
  25. Thank goodness someone has pics of one.
