  1. Taxes rarely cease. Nobody will ever be able to opt-out.
  2. I can see how you say this Mike, but I think mainly there are 5 in SCOTUS who have a clue about the Constitution and the other 4 tend to not have a clue. Conicidence, probably not. To paraphrase Winston Churchill: 'If you're under 30 and are not a liberal you have no heart. If you're over 30 and not a conservative, you have no brain'. I wish I could find the exact quote, but this is close.
  3. Same here...no change in my vote. Ron is still the man!

+1. Btw, I think Mike was implying that the Big O would not want you to. So then you must.
  5. True. Memphis is where to come for BBQ. As far as Nashville, I like Famous Dave's (yes it's a chain, but I like it). There's one in Cool Springs near mall.
  6. "True Men Don't Kill Coyotes" - RHCP
  7. I'd stick with the SP and the .357 mag cartridge.
  8. Amen and +1. She's got that girl next door thing both in looks and style. She's a slam dunk for me. Yes, I agree about Julia Roberts, especially since she jacked up her lips. They don't look good at all. Plus she's really painful to listen to on talk shows. Sandra Bullock is the best female talk show guest, bar none.
  9. I had a red Fastback Torino. My first car and the fastest I've ever owned.
  10. Full report after your class please! I'd have loved to get in this, but the $ are just too much at the moment. I think Mas is great. Have fun!
  11. +1 here. I think this was Ron's main point. His use of the word "cult" was unfortunate. Bet he wishes he had that one back.
  12. Sorry, I'll be "writing in" Ramsey if that's the way this goes.
  13. This is hilarious. It's Anti's like this guy who lean most heavily on emotion and less on facts. And I totally disagree his statement that people know the laws. A lot of people do not know the rules surrounding HCP carry. That's why the press loves to call it "Guns in Bars", to enflame the sheep who don't know any better. The was a poll engineered for a result, which they got. What a joke.
  14. Congrats on your new RIA. Good 1911 for the bucks. Now about your photography...hmmm.
  15. And I sure hope the Republicans pony up a good candidate for 2012, or its 4 more years of this crap.
  16. Too bad this ruling didn't come out later, nearer to the November elections. Lots of good backlash potential at the polls. Regradless, the Dems in AZ (and hopefully everywhere) ought to be very concerned about their elections this fall.
  17. HATE THE CA!!!!
  18. Yep this is a Republic folks, not a Democracy. Mechanisms like the Electoral College were put in place by some pretty smart people to avoid mob rule. Urban metro areas would carry certain elections if it wasn't for the Electoral College. Sadly, I've spoken to many conservatives who have no knowledge of guns and would probably vote with the Anti's in a poll like this. Their view of guns is only based on movies and the dis-information spewed by the media. Until you've handled, shot, and owned a gun, you know nothing about that which you speak. </rant>
  19. Wasn't this that old poll taken at Middle Tenn. State? If so, what a shocker that you'd get poll results like this at a college campus!
  20. I would tend to agree with your assessment about the Glock trigger and the boxy feel. Compared to a single stack 1911 it is a come-down in both departments. The 1911 trigger is pretty hard to beat, as is the more ergonomic single stack grip. 1911's will spoil you. As far as a striker fired, double stack, no safety, tupper-gun...I prefer the S&W M&P. Much better trigger, grip, and yes looks too. All that being said, I still do carry my G26 more than my full size M&P 9. Mainly because of size and weight.
  21. Glocks aren't the prettiest things, but that's the only bad thing I'll say about them. Overall, great guns.
  22. Condition 1 (G26) is the only way I carry at the moment. Go to a couple of higher level handgun classes where they teach you the draw and fire, misfire handling, reloads, etc. Not sure where Seymour is, but there's a couple of places in Memphis that can fix you up training-wise. This training will make you feel a lot better about this and as others have said. Condition 3 is no better than a brick. Yes, the Israelis have cornered the market on this, but sorry...I don't buy it. Originally it was a way to cover the same technique across multiple handgun types.
  23. Thanks for the tip StPat. I'm still in no hurry to try it. But when I get inspired I'll try this.
  24. All U.S. company's Accounts Payable departments are having a good freak out right now. Used to be you only had to cut a 1099 for an unincorprated U.S. business receiving payments in excess of $600 per year. The new law says you must cut a 1099 for any U.S. entity being paid in excess of $600 for their services. Buy stock in companies printing/supplying 1099 and W9 forms. I think the first 1099's to anyone over $600 will be cut in January of 2012.
