Merry Christmas

Thanks to everyone for putting on a great match. It was my first time and it was really enjoyable up until I DQ'd myself. My apologies to my fellow competitors for failing to maintain the 180 degree plane. Thanks to all the experienced shooters for advice. It was a great learning experience.

I did not find any deals that even appealed to me. Seemed like too much hype for so little.
Exactly. I use the heck out of Amazon, but this was a huge nothing burger.

Did you independently verify that this guy is actual LEO? Sounds flaky to me.

I have to point out that your first statement is an opinion also. Like you said, it feels right to you.
A very large number of people prefer the consistent trigger feel that striker-fired guns provide, over the heavier first-pull and lighter subsequent-pull weights experienced with DA/SA or straight DA guns provide.
This guy might as well have asked who makes the best truck: Dodge, Chevy, Ford, Toyota or Nissan. He's going to get a lot of opinions, and opinions are purely subjective to the people who hold them.
Very true all that you said. It just so happens that my opinion is the correct opinion. To me LOL.
But that is a huge part of the allure of being a member of a gun forum - getting contrasting opinions of fellow enthusiasts. I just so happen to fall into the DA/SA hammer fired camp, and more specificity the CZ DA/SA tent within that camp. -
How do you feel it compares to striker fired pistols?

The CZ is head and shoulders above striker fired pistols. Everyone has their own opinion, but hammer fired guns just feel right to me. I started off on striker pistols. I intend to shoot my new P09 along with my XDM in the next few days and I'll be able to give those two a good comparison after that.- 1

I just bought a P09 and this thing is friggin' awesome. $420 from iammo.com is a great deal.

I got this one for Christmas. It looks tactical doesn't it? It's a very cool design for the gun enthusiast.
It is hand-turned by a guy in Mt. Juliet who makes awesome pens.- 1

I bought a 290 at auction (note: not the RS model). Light strikes had me sending it back to Sig. You can read up on why they came out with the RS version that addresses the problem.
Long story short, Sig has outstanding customer service. They upgraded the entire trigger mechanism to the RS and replaced a dead night sight. Problem solved and it's really a decent little shooter at least out to 10 or 12 yards at least (never shot further out than 12 yards).
It fit my pockets pretty well. It always went bang when I pulled the trigger after the fix. I thought enough of it to trade it to my dad who really did not like the S&W Bodyguard 380 that he had been carrying. I wouldn't want my 75 year old dad to not have a reliable weapon to carry.- 2

The Pearce +1 extensions work great.

CZ's are my favorite guns, so I'm really pumped after seeing those videos. If this comes out before I can find an HK P2000SK I will most likely buy the P10 sooner rather than later.
