I was a journalist for years and purchased many guns without problem. So, I'm definitely not buying his "I was denied for being a journalist" argument. Of course, I produced fact-based content and wasn't out to ambush anyone with my work. This was definitely poetic justice on a karmic level.

I'm settling into my new digs just south of Knoxville. I'm not city-oriented by nature (born and raised in the backwoods of eastern Kentucky), but I have a meager 26 acre tract of mountain that affords me the opportunity to be the hermit I am by nature, but to also be close to the amenities of town when the situation calls for it. I shoot a lot and own nearly 40 guns, some of which my lady has asked me to part with. That's actually how I found this site. I monitored some threads on the forum here for a while, and quickly realized this was the place for me. I joined almost a week ago and haven't posted yet, but I'm not very vocal. So it goes. I gained a quick appreciation for a lot of the knowledge and discourse you have amongst your ranks. You all have created a valuable community here - one I am proud to now be a member of. Keep up the good work and I'm sure I'll be asking many questions in the future, so thanks in advance for your time and help.
