  1. After having a bad experience with one type of alarm, we got one called "the reporter" wireless system. My wife found it on the internet. I don't remeber where we got it, but here's a link to the same unit, Wireless Driveway Alarm: $99! Motion Detector Alert Sensor & Outdoor Monitor It's worked great for about four years now. I'd recommend this unit. It's worked real well for us.
  2. Good to hear. I figure even if I've got to clear a jam every 5th round or so at least I'm shooting. Can't find 9mm anywhere these days.
  3. I've got a line on 500 rounds of russian made Brown Bear ammo in 9mm. It's supposedly better than Wolf. Anyone ever used it?
  4. The reality is Obama probably wasn't aware of the stunt or was relying on others (well paid) to handle the details to be sure it was done right. True he is ultimayely responsible for what happens on his watch, but come on, I think he has other more important things on his mind right now.
  5. Talked to the folks at ICE today and they have 8 registered for the CCA course already. Looks like it's good to go.
  6. If the course at Coal Creek doesn't make I may be talking to you about what you have going.
  7. Man, I'd be having a discussion with this teacher ad her principal.
  8. I.C.E. is holding another Combat Focus Shooting course at Coal Creek July 11-12. I took this course last year and will take it again this year. I thought it was an excellent course. Unfortunately Coal Creek doesn't seem to do a very good job of promoting these courses so I'm posting this hoping enough people will register for the course to make. Go to http://www.icetraining.us/training_cfs.php for more information on the course. You can register through I.C.E. directly. Hope to see you there.
  9. What you've got is a door that was machined for a mortise style lock. I'm not aware of any hardware that will convert this to what youhave. Fire rated doors won't really do you any good unless you have a rated wall assembly and rated frame do go with them. Just go with a non-rated solid core door if you want security. Non-rated is cheaper for the same door. With fire rated you're only paying for the UL rating. No gain over a standard solid core door.
  10. Take alook at tool bags at Home Depot or Loew's. I found a good bag there for a good price. Large capacity, lots of inner pockets, and doesn't look out of place away from the range.
  11. Thanks for the replies. All are helpful
  12. While I hope I'll never need it, if I am ever involved in a situaion where I've had to draw or use my gun in self defense, I'm sure I'm going to want to have qualified legal representation. I figure it might be a good idea to know in advance who I might want to call rather than trying to figure that out after the fact. Can anyone make a reccomendation for a pro-gun attorney in or near Knoxville or Kingston?
