My parents, brother in law and a family friend just built this for our family property. They put a good bit of time into it and I am extremely impressed. I can't wait to start spending some time in it. My brother and myself both have Becker Muscular Dystrophy, getting out in the woods is a little bit more difficult for us, but they are sure trying to help us out, can't them enough. For them to build this for us, we were both floored, its 8x10, has some good sized windows (still working on the actual windows), a little desk at each window and the ramp for us to get our butts in it. We hadn't used it just yet, but I am sure it will be put to good use in the coming months, get us a little heater in there, we'll be good to go! Hoping it will last a good while, I had to show it off. Also, we have had a few trespassers as of late unfortunately, one of them dropped a couple prescription bottles and the paperwork that came with them that had her address and phone number. If you know anyone named Delisha from the Moscow area, I am sure she's an outstanding citizen, but tell her we have her muscle relaxers, birth control paraphernalia and empty beer cans.

Had my first crossbow hunt ever this past Saturday, was also my first morning hunt and what a great hunt it was. Got in the blind right at 0600, was 40 degrees, and was my first time listening to all of creation wake up. Heard a few coyotes off a ways, a neighbor's rooster, a few turkeys and every bird in Fayette county I think, I'm sure a lot of you have enjoyed this as well. Sunrise is about 0645 and almost immediately we had a little 4 point come up behind us, he was behind us stomping and making a few scrapes, was a blast to watch and hear. A bit later, we had 3 different bucks, none of them in sight, but one in front and one more on either side of us. We broke our grunt call and tried a few times, had a little bit of interaction with them all. Was awesome to hear them all grunting back at us. Unfortunately, we weren't able to call any in, but still a blast for me to be a part of. Around 0800 we had 2 does coming from our right to left right along the tree line. Our pop up blind had been out there for a week or so before we got in it, but one of the does right when she got into out field of view stared straight at us. I had my crosshairs right on her, pulled the trigger when she was right at 38 yards and she ducked my dang arrow! I missed and have been kicking myself since, but glad it was a clean miss and there will be plenty more hunting to come, pretty good trip for my first bow hunt. Was a great hunt.

New Assault Weapon ban in Massachusetts
TomUT07 replied to xsubsailor's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Savage, S&W, and I think there are a lot more. I believe Sig moved to Exeter, NH so they are good, my understand NH still has some freedom lovers. There are a lot of manufacturers right over the border in Connecticut as well, Colt, Marlin, Mossberg to name a few and I am sure the folks in Connecticut will do their best to try something similar. Hopefully they will move out of that area, I'm sure Haslam would love the jobs here and I am sure there are plenty of other states that would take them as well. Terrible news though, all in the name of safety, well, we know it's not, yay control, self reliant be damned. This will save ZERO lives. -
Good SHTF Survival Fiction Books
TomUT07 replied to plank white's topic in Survival and Preparedness
Just finished the entire survivor series by A. American. Just getting into reading and never been a big reader, but I finished the 7 book series in about a month and couldn't put them down. They were recommended by a friend and I have now passed them on to others as well. Really good IMHO and seems very realistic in today's world. Thanks for all the recommendations everyone, look forward to reading them. -
Once again our supreme leader, peace be upon him, has sided with the wrong team, an Islamic theocracy. What part of this world is not or has not been on fire due to the foreign policy of this admin and those a part of it. Coming to a country near you! (........already here)

My instructor for my carry class told me never to mention gun, firearm, weapon, etc. He told us to always give the LEO your carry permit with all your other information. At that point, the LEO should be able to interpret that as a sign your are carrying. I have been pulled over once while carrying. It was about 5 am, I was headed to work, it was still dark and I turned on the dome light, provided all paperwork initially, and placed my hands on the steering wheel where they remained. He went back to his patrol car and soon I had two other police cars show up and had an officer standing at both the passenger and drivers side doors keeping a watchful eye of me, as well as the initial police officer. Obviously, most traffic stops, with or without those carrying firearms happen without anything coming of it, wish they all did. This is just a terrible tragedy and will further fuel the tensions that are already on edge in this country. Hate it for this man's family, hate it even for the police officer and will do my best to wait for all information before making my own personal judgement on the matter. Sure hope this is just about these individual police officers and not the law enforcement community as a whole. Having said that, is this not what the left wants? We can't take care of ourselves and they push for cradle to grave policies. An overbearing government that knows what's best for us all more so than we do? But at the same time, when this overbearing government actually happens to them directly, they raise hell all the while attacking us liberty minded self reliant. Why do those on the left and of a certain racial 'movement' want to polticize this to divide us and conitnue to take away our rights as individuals to carry as well as other things. Sorry, just some thoughts of some idiot in west Tennessee..... All lives matter.

After hopefully doing enough research/homework, went ahead and purchased the Vortex Diamondback HP, 4-16x42, was curious if anyone has used this or something similar and your thoughts on it? Have read a lot of reviews, overwhelming majority of which are very good, watched the youtube videos on it and read up on the warranty Vortex offers. Will be mounting it on a Weatherby Mark V Deluxe in .270 WIN, hopefully scope will match the quality of the rifle. Purchased medium height rings and the scope, both from Optics Planet, my first experience with them as well.

Little late, but we didn't have any luck this year at our family farm. It was our first year though, purchased some land in Fayette County back in February. Heard some gobbles as well as a good bit of hens, but no luck, have seen plenty of both since the season has ended, I think they know! In the past few weeks we have seen a hen with 8 poults and another with 10 on our game cameras, looking forward to next year. Will hopefully take out some coyotes/raccoons which seem to show up more than anything on our game cameras between now and next season. Enjoyed seeing everyone's pictures.

Bought a couple of these for our farm, haven't tried out the video setting yet, but the camera has been fine. Pictures have turned out well, I'm sure there are better cameras out there, but this one has been good so far. http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/wildgame-innovations-t-series-blade-8-x-lightsout-80-mp-infrared-scouting-camera?repChildCatid=1099404

Had my first turkey hunt ever today, was a great time, heard a couple hens and a gobble or two, but no luck, had a lot of fun and look forward to spending some more time in the woods trying to get me a thunder chicken. Enjoyed reading all the stories so far, good luck to everyone!

Hello everyone, Tom here, big fan of 2A and 2A accessories. From Collierville, outside of Memphis. Was told to join by my buddy, Slappy. Joined for some good conversation with like minded individuals and to share whatever knowledge I have (none) and get advice whenever I can regarding hunting and anything shooting related. Talked to a few folks on here so far, everyone has been great. Looking forward to the conversations to come.

Don't worry everyone, soon paper currency will be a thing of the past. Electronic currency will be the way of the future, makes it easier to track and that way you'll be able to only use your allotment. Easier for them to get ahold of it to. Heck, look at Japan and some countries in Europe, already setting limits on withdrawals. Mr. DJT has even suggest scalping a percentage of everyone's accounts to help with the country's debt. No sir, I don't like it. Reminds of the old saying, going to something or other in a hand basket..... And yes, Lincoln was a Republican, the first one in fact.

Thanks! Looking for any advice I can get, appreciate the help! Not sure that holster in the link would work, trying to either have something to wear on my person or something to actually attach to the action trackchair

I carry a Sig Legion 229 and was looking for a holster to open carry on our family land, I am permanently disabled and have an action trackchair for property. Was looking at thigh holsters, something very easy to draw out of, but don't want the barrel pointed straight in front of me, even can be something to attach to the chair, any thoughts?
