I ride an atv or Rhino and generally ride in the Windrock, Brimstone, Sundquist,Royal Blue area. Spots what's the big deal with Bitter Creek? I've done most of it with my Rhino nothing sticks out too bad. We go in by the bridge and come out on 328 just inside Harriman city limits.

Condition 1 or Condition 3 Carry
oldmustangjunkie replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Darryl is facing a very real and constant threat:) Do what is best for your situation. I like how the author addresses the fact that you will in all likelihood never have to fire in self defense, but you have to load/unload/holster/un holster your firearm thousands of times if you carry. The odds of an accidental discharge are much greater than the odds of dying because of that extra half second to rack the slide. I'm not saying it's a bad idea to carry in condition 1, I just don't currently feel that it fits my situation. It is likely that I'll change my mind when I don't have toddlers, babies, and young kids in the house.
I've been carrying my Glock loaded and ready since I got my permit. The only time it comes out of the holster is for target practice. Why would a person be constantly be taking a gun in and out of their holster? -
My grandfather once told me the only thing that stood between me and the life I wanted was me. It's 100% true. The people who bitch the most about their job are usually the same ones who refuse to get training or education to get the job they want. If you work a minimum wage, low skilled job don't complain when you are treated like low skilled, easily replaceable worker. You can get a new job but it won't come and land in your lap, you have to make it happen. Don't be surprised if it means you have to put out from 5a-9p instead of 9a-5p.

Non fogging shooting glasses?
oldmustangjunkie replied to TrickyNicky's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Spit on the insides, wipe it around, then dip it in water to rinse them out or lightly run water over them. That's how I keep my dive and offroading goggles from fogging up. OT- If anyone is looking to buy glasses, check out zennioptical.com. I'm currently wearing a pair of $10 glasses from there and can't tell the difference btw them and the expensive ones my insurance paid for. -
Patton is the following possible? My friend relayed doing this years ago: He went in the dealership, played the 4 square deal to get the best trade in value, lowest monthly payment and set his payments to 72 months. After they were done with all the paperwork, he went to the cashier window, found out what his principal amount was and wrote a check for the full amount. I'm contemplating buying a GT500 in a year or so and want to minimize my overall investment.

My Standard Poodle is the best hunting and guard dog I've had. People are always very surprised when they see him in action.

Steeda has been suspect for years. Are you a member of SVTP? When I need parts for my Cobra, I search their board for recommendations and haven't been let down yet. -
I'm hoping it goes lower. I've got cash and am ready to buy as soon as I think it bottoms out.

What effect (if any) does the gun being locked in a glovebox have on the LEO's ability to seize the weapon without a warrant? Does having your gun stowed in a locked glovebox mean you are disarmed?

La Hacienda near Nashville. Senor Taco on Broadway in Knoxville. Good authentic style Mexican. I can't stand Tex-Mex.

The reason I ask about the legality of it is that I thought it was strange you would run the serial of a gun that wasn't related to a crime. I wondered about how it tied in to search and seizure rules. If you see my laptop in my car, can you run the serial number on it without belief that it is used for some criminal purpose? Also, I fail to see how asking questions is cop bashing. Did I say something rude? If my pistol is locked inside my glove box when I am pulled over, does that change the situation with regard to your ability to seize it?

I thought that as well but I can't reconcile that with coon hunting in mind.

If you're up for something really Southern, try Aunt Pitty Pat's Porch.

I understand that you can't hunt coyotes at night but am I correct that I can kill coyotes at any time when I'm protecting my livestock?

Heartbreaking story on elephant poaching
oldmustangjunkie replied to Stegall Law Firm's topic in General Chat
Beefalo are very docile and tame. However, they are so large and strong that they run through fences easily when spooked without incurring much injury. They are very difficult to contain. -

How old do have to be before you stop doing...
oldmustangjunkie replied to jtmaze's topic in General Chat
I don't believe it's a question of how old but rather how smart... -
