  1. I'd originally planned on using a standard, non- rated door designed for 'normal' latch assemblies, but I found these fire rated doors for free. I've been hunting the commercial plate that would've been installed on the door, but I didn't realize it was called a mortise style. I'll try to find some, but if nothing else I'll make a plate out of some scrap metal.
  2. I'm hoping y'all can point me in the right direction on this. I recently picked up and installed some nice, solid, fire rated doors. They were already cut for the knob and deadbolt, but the edge of the door that the latch bolt protrudes through is recessed back past the knob and deadbolt holes, I guess to allow for some commercial hardware. I'm looking for a plate that fits the edge of the door, that the deadbolt bolt and the latch attach to. I've tried Lowes and Home Depot, along with the local hardware store, and can't find anything. Does anyone know where I can find this piece, to solidly mount the latch hardware? Thanks!

  4. A reminder of the 4 Rules at a Tune class? Just kidding...

    AK Ammo

If it's 7.62x39, it's around 6.00 for a box of 20 locally, last I checked. If that's what you sold him, you didn't do too bad.
  6. Aside from mounting a kydex holster, all I can think of is check out Tuffy Security products. They aren't gun specific, but they make all sorts of lockable security boxes just for Jeeps.
  7. Due to being misinformed, I've been going unarmed at work, and feeling very uncomfortable with it. While in my work van, I don't have to deal with weigh stations, or going out of state beyond the occasional trip to Kentucky or Alabama. The only issue I anticipate, is several of our customers have their facilities properly posted to prohibit firearms, along with requiring us to pass through metal detectors. It's probable that I'll have to disarm at various points throughout the day to enter their buildings, but that can be accommodated as necessary.
  8. Thanks! My work often takes me to parts of town I'd ordinarily stay away from, it's nice to find out I can legally carry.
  9. I'm glad to hear at least one Democrat is on our side.
  10. I've got a question or two concerning carrying in a commercial vehicle, or even what Tennessee considers a commercial vehicle. I'm an equipment mechanic, I travel from customer to customer in a van with a company logo on the side and commercial, 16,000 pound tags. From my reckoning, this would be a commercial vehicle. I've been told it's illegal to carry in any commercial vehicle, be it a semi truck or a work van, regardless of CDL requirements to drive it. On the other hand, I have several friends that are self employed, one of which is a locksmith, and the other a tow truck driver. Both own their own business, and both own the vehicle they drive, through the business. One has a van, the other a large rollback wrecker. Both carry on the job, and believe they are legal, despite having commercial tags on their work vehicles. What's the legal answer to this? Can a HCP holder carry in a vehicle with commercial tags, or are you required to disarm, even if you own the business and the truck? Thanks!
  11. Nice gun. I really like exposed hammer, pump shotguns, but the originals are pretty pricey...

    Killin me.

    That's how RTT rolls.
  13. Right now, they're not doing much. They handled warehousing for Dell, and since the Lebanon Dell facility has all but closed, Ceva has significantly slowed as well. I know they've laid off several folks already.
  14. CEVA, formerly EGL Logistics? Mostly Toyota gas units and Raymond electric lifts?
  15. Wow, Rightwinger. If you don't mind, who do you work for? I'm a forklift mechanic, and we have a lot of customers on Eastgate. We might have run into eachother. Y'know, small world and all...
  16. Rightwinger, we probably have. every once in a while I pull out the Mosin, I think our entire end of the county can hear that one. Jason, thanks. My property line ends before the barn in the first picture, but we've got plenty of room. After living in east Nashville for a year, we needed space again.
  17. Thanks y'all. Jason, I'm right outside Gallatin in Bethpage.
  18. Several of you have probably seen this before, but I just picked it up today. This is my first 9mm, and my first HK. I put 30 rounds through it this afternoon, and I love this gun. Now, for a holster...
  19. Some FFLs will accept a gun from a private individual, some will not. Check with the FFL you'll be shipping the rifle to.

    Snow

...I got a rock. Nothing here yet. It rained some earlier, though.
  21. They won't lose 412 games, they'll take all the stars and rising stars from this season and trade them off. Seems like they've been changing lines and players around a lot lately, including calling up O'reilly who played his first NHL game tonight. I'd have to do the math on the playoff spot, but I think it still depends on a couple of other games being played tonight.
  22. Wow. The final score was Eight to Zero, including Jason Arnott's 8th career hat trick. Wow.
  23. The prices of 'assault weapons' under a ban is assuming they enact a ban like the old one. Maybe I've got the a little tight, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was something in a ban that prohibited the transfer of then banned items.
  24. Wow. 6-0 at the end of the second.
  25. Sad to hear he's gone. A friend and I were just discussing what would happen to his show locally, once 99.7 changes it's schedule on Monday. He'll be missed.
