  1. Right after he was rescued (hand sized puppy in the parking lot), the vet called him a 'ticking time bomb' that would harm some human. Three years later, he's lying in a chair about 20 feet from me, and for him to harm someone, they would have to be inside my house. In that case, the dog may not be their biggest problem. Tapper's my buddy. Dumb, sweet, and loyal. He loves to learn commands, and with the help of an electronic collar, he's really doing well. Once I moved out of downtown Nashville, he has lot of land to roam on, with supervision.
  2. Ahh, darnit. They just said something about "The diversity of this country", but I wasn't paying enough attention to remember which country it was. Must be global warming, they're having to use snow machines for some of the courses. Or the greedy USA, stealing all the natural snow for themselves. :p
  3. Morocco, now. No hockey yet, I'll have to go find out when it's actually supposed to be on.
  4. He's employing "grass land" camouflage in that one.
  5. C'mon, Olympic hockey! I didn't see the ceremonies, too busy watching the Nashville Predators lose 5-2 to New Jersey.
  6. My boys rock. The Shepherd is roughly 10, the yellow one is three. The yellow dog is a mutt, part Lab, part Pitt, possibly some Bulldog somewhere. Nice as can be, but dumb as a rock. :p Both of mine were unofficial rescues. Found the German Shepherd hiding beneath my uncle's porch many, many years ago, the yellow dog was a puppy found in the Kroger parking lot.
  7. Forklift is unavailable, but my tractor has a loader on the front. You can stack the boxes in the bucket.

  9. This is my question. How does one define a hoarder? A buddy at work was telling me his son "bought an extra box of 30-06, just to have it". There are lots of gun owners out there that only buy a single box of ammo, shoot most of it, and buy another box when they need it. Then there are guys with thousands of rounds that they have been accumulating for years. When does it become hoarding? A while ago, I sold somewhere around 800 rounds of ammo here on TGO for market value. Was I a hoarder? I don't think so. At one time, I owned two rifles in that caliber, and then ran across a good deal on that ammunition. I sold one of the rifles, and had more ammo than I really felt like I needed, since I don't shoot the one rifle I have in that caliber much. So, I sold it. Was that hoarding? What about the folks that bought the ammo, for less than what it was marked in local stores? I say let the market work.
  10. Beer has alcohol in it. It is any place that serves any alcoholic beverage for on site consumption. TN state law only allows a 'restaurant' liquor license, so technically every establishment in the state that sells alcohol by the drink is a restaurant. They are supposed to have 50% or greater of their income from food sales, but that law does not appear to be enforced at all. Rep. Todd Curry has introduced a bill that would require them to report that information to the ABC.
  11. Might check with Mr. Case in Gallatin. He's on South Water Ave, across from the bowling alley. I haven't dealt with him personally, but I work with a guy who highly recommends him. I think the place is called Case Guitars.
  12. I can pick them up no problem, and can get them to Knoxville, but I may not be over that way for a while. Worse case scenario, I can put them on a pallet and help ship them.
  13. It was a couple of weeks ago. I don't recall the name, but I think it might've been a furniture store or an art place?
  14. I saw a business on Kingston Pike that had "Lane Kiffin never shopped here" on their sign by the street.
  15. I've seen posts here that are written in a very similar manner. Very few, compared to other sites, but they pop up every so often.
  16. For one, proper grammar and punctuation make it easier to read. if u wont 2 tip like dis well is all up to u but a lut of rederz will jus skip ova yo post because we dun like haveeng to desifer it You might have a very valid question or a lot of good information to share, but a 500 word run on sentence is very, very difficult to make any sense of. Two, it makes the poster seem less intelligent if the entire thing is written in 'net speak'. Are you* incapable of correct grammar, or just too lazy? Do you not respect the members here on TGO enough to take an extra minute and spell check what you just wrote? We all make mistakes, but it's just easier to interact through text when people take the time to at least attempt proper grammar. *I wasn't calling you, brooksjr, lazy or uneducated. I was using the term in a broader sense.
  17. With a deputy or TWRA officer beside him. The trespasser has already demonstrated that he knows that he's trespassing, and doesn't care. I'd venture a guess that he was actually daring Tempest to do something about it by tearing down the sign. No sense into getting into a confrontation with the guy if you can avoid it. The trespasser strikes me as the type of guy that would do damage to the property or anything left on it, just to be spiteful.
  18. S&W 642 when backpacking. Small, relatively light. I wouldn't want to be walking through the middle of nowhere, living out of a tent unarmed.
  19. That's one of the #1 reasons to get the TWRA officers involved. Are there any buildings or items on the property that could be harmed? Might hide a couple of trail cameras to watch over them if so.
  20. There are clips, and then there are magazines. In any case, it should not damage either one to keep them loaded. Springs wear from being cycled, not from being compressed.
