  1. Done. I'll add 12 rounds of Glaser blue tip .357 ammo for now, will add more once as I'm cleaning around here.
  2. What type of surface do you usually use it on? Sand, gravel, concrete? I usually shoot on either grass, or a field that's been mowed to 4-6" tall. I don't think it would work well in the field, but how does it do in grass a few inches tall?
  3. Just a drive to Anniston, and hope they let you borrow the forklift.
  4. The DRMO is handled by Government Liquidation. They're not a Federal agency, they're a private contractor. They auction every so often online. Government Surplus Auctions at Government Liquidation Check out Steel Soldiers. com. Lots of military truck guys there, you could probably find a 1008 through a private sale for about the same as GL would cost you by the time you bid, pay the fees, etc...
  5. It says it picks up stuff 3/8" diameter or larger. I guess 9mm brass would be right on the edge. Has anyone tried one? I'd like to know how they work in tall grass, but I don't want to spend $45.00 to find out.
  6. What's the deal with consumer blue book websites? I've been truck shopping, and have noticed a big difference. I just looked up a truck on Edmunds, and Kelly Blue Book. I've also been watching these trucks (right down to brand, model, drivetrain, etc) sell for about a year now, so I feel like I know where the market is. What gets me is the 'blue book' websites. For the exact same truck, spec'd out the exact same way, from a dealer, Edmunds.com valued it at 8,600.00 and Kelly Blue Book puts it at 15,900. I've seen them selling with similar mileage for about 12-13,000. Is there a blue book website that's accurate? I'm really not sure I care anymore. I know what the trucks are selling for, and I know what the dealer wants for it. I'm sick of truck shopping, part of me wants to just lay out the asking price (1,900 over the highest book value) and drive it home. Then the cheapskate inside of me starts throwing a fit and I'm back shopping again.
  7. I've wanted one for years. Not sure why, though. I really like the early models with the half cab top. I saw a white one today in Lebanon that looked pretty nice.
  8. Thanks. I like it. I may sell it before long. I need a more modern daily driver, and I want an early Bronco for my next 'toy' vehicle, if I buy another one.
  9. The Super Duty in the background was sold after the '56 came home.
  10. There's a classic car season? Oops. I've been driving my '56 Ford truck year round! I'm excited for the good weather. I've gone to the Hendersonville cruise in a few times to look around, but never taken my truck. It's an old farm truck, not much business around the nice stuff. It's spent more time hauling firewood or at the metal recycler's since I bought it than it has at shows.
  11. I agree! I believe that's an M35 in the background, and an M211 in the foreground. Might be an M135, but I believe they had single wheels in the rear. I could be wrong, though. Great pictures either way.
  12. Check out C3 Defense. I saw their .22 can at the Guns and Gear expo, it looked nice. Good price, too.
  13. He wasn't that bad. My buddy met him also, and he still wants to take some classes from y'all with his wife. Did anyone else see the guy with the backpack selling boresnakes for $10.00? I saw him once, but couldn't catch up with him. I tried to find him later, but no luck. Anyone know why he was? Younger guy, wearing a backpack with a sign on it.
  14. Not much you can do. The dealer said he won't help you, so you're pretty much left sending it back to the manufacturer or paying a local gunsmith to look at it. I think it's bad business on their part not to help you with a brand new gun. I'd make the point that it will cost him more in lost business by not making it right than it will to resell the Kahr as a used gun. I don't know why the dealer couldn't send it back, though. You might contact the dealer at their brick and mortar location and talk to the manager/ head guy, if that's not who you were dealing with at the show. If it was, then you may have to send it to Kahr. Who was the dealer?
  15. Well, that sucks. Happy with Silver, though, since the USA was ranked around 6th going into the Olympics.
  16. Just got in, not a bad show. Met Dustin, and a buddy of mine should be contacting y'all for his permit course. Found a receiver cover for an SKS I've been looking for.
  17. No, the 15-22 is a dedicated .22 from what I understand. To shoot .223 or 5.56, you'd have to buy an AR in that caliber, and a .22 conversion kit.
  18. There were rumors before the Olympics began about the Nashville Predator's very own Pekka Rinne playing for the Finnish Olympic team. It didn't work out, but he was considered.
  19. Finland and Slovakia are playing for Olympic Bronze right now. Tied at 1-1. USA and Canada play for gold tomorrow.
  20. I believe that is the "mitten/ glove folded open" hold. Very popular in cold weather. Is that ejected brass just below her right elbow, or something on the ground? Cool picture either way.
  21. I'll be honest, I was cheering for Slovakia there toward the end. I'm not a big Slovakia fan, but I would like to see Canada playing for bronze instead of gold. That said, I expect a really good game on Sunday.
  22. The Canada- Slovakia game just ended, despite a strong comeback by the Slovakians, Canada won 3-2. So, the USA will play Canada for the men's gold medal in hockey on Sunday. Should be good!
  23. It makes a difference hauling firewood/ dirt/ gravel in the dump bed. Besides, that's how it came from the factory.
