  1. I guess hockey might catch on better in the south if they were only allowed to skate around the ice to the left. Just got in from the game against the Hurricanes. Preds lost.
  2. Well, sort of. Preseason. Go Preds!
  3. I don't have that safe, nor any experience with it. That said, I'd encourage you to call the folks at The Safe House in Nashville. I recall seeing some Champion safes in their shop that were somewhere around that sort of price, and I've been very impressed by Champion safes, not to mention the customer service at The Safe House.
  4. Seems like a bunch of folks from this area signing up lately. Cool! Welcome to TGO!
  5. Swapped a carburetor on my little tractor, got the mower mounted, cut some grass. Found the oil pan gasket leaking, pulled it in the shop, dropped the pan and resealed.
  6. Yes. The Bass Pro in Nashville is located in the Opry Mills mall, and during the May flood the entire area was underwater.
  7. The folks at Dixie Gun Works may be able to help you identify it. Dixie Gun Works muzzleloading, blackpowder and rare antique gun supplies.
  8. If you're into backpacking/ camping, check out Virgin Falls Pocket Wilderness. Just outside Cookeville, not far from Fall Creek Falls.
  9. The Mossberg Mavericks seem to be decent shotguns for the price. I believe that some parts interchange with the 500 series. Otherwise, might find a used 870/ 500 somewhere.
  10. D&T is on Rivergate Parkway, next door to Las Palmas. I think they were $125.00, but I'm not positive. I haven't been by G&L lately, you might want to call and make sure they have some, along with checking the price.
  11. The M44 carbines have become a bit less common. They're still out there, but not in the same numbers as the 91/30. If you want a 91/30, I saw some at D&T Arms in Rivergate on Saturday, and I believe G&L usually has a few. Those are probably the closest places to find one.
  12. I saw. As of about 6:00 PM today, our stretch was mowed and they had trimmed around the guard rails. I'm still unavailable on the 25th, but any later date could work.
  13. These pictures have been around before. I don't recall the details, but I believe a reloading accident was at fault. I could be mistaken, though.
  14. This isn't the place on 31E, just north of the four way stop, is it?
  15. For what it's worth, I've been happy with Green Bank. If you've got one close (I saw it isn't on your list), they're worth the drive. Otherwise, First Bank of TN would get my vote. I had an account with them until I moved to an area where there aren't any locations.
  16. Cool! I haven't tried making wine yet. Done beer several times, may take on wine after this batch of beer gets bottled. I like the label.
  17. I'm not much on the latest and greatest technology, but I have to admit that cowboy and bluegrass music is almost enough to make me want an Ipod type thing. I just can't find it on the radio around here.
  18. What kind of car is it, and what symptoms/ problems make you want to get it tuned up? If none of the above options work out, I can probably help.
  19. Looks good. Were they still running the free bullet offer?
  20. I was thinking about this the other day. I know there have been similar threads on here in the past, but it's been a while. What is the main characteristic that you like to see in a gun shop? Are you looking for the latest and greatest, just released MagPul or Daniel Defense products? Bulk ammo in stock, or a lack of variety, and absolute rock bottom prices? Personally, I want good, friendly people behind the counter. Beyond that, I want to see a lot of used guns in stock. Not really because I think I can get a great deal on them, but because I like old guns. I can't go order a pre- '64 Winchester, or an Ithaca model 37, or a Savage 99, but I might find one used somewhere. The last few I've purchased haven't been because I was actively looking for whatever it was, but because I just stumbled across one at the right time.
  21. Accurate 2230 has done well for me. I just picked up some WC 846, have not loaded any of it yet.
  22. I've looked at the Mule/ Gator types, and I just don't care for them. I want to strap a sprayer on the back, and the potential firewood hauling will probably just be dragging short logs up to where I can put them in the truck, not actual split firewood. Probably. I should find out tomorrow if the Honda sold.
