  1. What is BWW? I've heard a bit about the Tilted Kilt , a guy at work was talking about the $12.00 hamburger. Who has the best cheese steak in the area? Papa's is pretty good, as is Cheddars. Cheddars puts whole mushrooms in theirs, which I've grown to like. They could use more cheese, though.
  2. It's been almost two months since the last post on this thread. A small shot of part of the collection, including a Surefire dealer banner. I have a couple of other lights I could post later.
  3. I'm a Surefire fan, but to be honest none of those lights really appeal to me. You could already get a G2 (granted, not an LED) for that price or less. Joe Consumer will see the 'plastic' $60.00 Surefire vs the $20.00 metal Mag Lite, and opt for the Mag Lite. Metal has to be better, right? Personally, I'm disappointed in the direction SF seems to be going as of late. I like the knurling, and mis-matched anodizing on the older lights. Who cares if they're different shades of green, the target customer (at the time, military and law enforcement) usually cared more about function than form. Function is where Surefire knocked it out of the park. I understand SF is trying to appeal to the average consumer more, but at what cost? Without deceasing their quality, they won't be able to be competitive in the 'lumen wars' with import brands. Most Surefire new releases seem to be 2 to 3 generations of LED behind the 'latest and greatest', but it took that long because SF actually did the R&D to ensure their light could stand up to what the worst anyone could offer looked like. I think they need to stick with military and law enforcement, develop as such and let the imports fight over who's 10 lumens brighter or has the newest LED in the mass consumer market. I'm just an old stick in the mud, though, so what do I know? I'm going to go clean my lever action and my J frame carry gun, then put some gas in my 54 year old pickup truck.
  4. Cheddars is better quality than Logans or Chilis, but not quite 'fine dining'. They're cheaper than Logans/ Chilis/ Longhorn, too. Without a doubt, they're my favorite all around restaurant. You can get better food at Ruth's Chris, The Palm, etc, but that's fine dining and priced accordingly. You can get cheaper, similar food at Logans, etc, but the portions are smaller, the quality is not as good, and the cost is more.
  5. I've noticed that about any thread that specifically mentions Hendersonville seems to wind up talking about food. So, why don't we just do that? Personally, going to Cheddars ruined me on restaurants around the area. "Better" food is twice the cost, and cheaper food is nowhere near the quality. Papa's Pizza and Subs (something like that), in the strip mall next to Maple Motors has a good cheese steak.
  6. Reckon I oughta checked this thread again... Sounds like the boys uniforms are covered in any event. Are they all set for books/ tools/ etc?
  7. Three, almost four year old thread. I've had both, didn't like either.
  8. I bought a truck with air conditioning, but ain't turned it on more than a couple of times. I love this time of year.
  9. Loaded ammo can not be mailed. It has to be shipped via UPS/ Fed Ex and labeled ORMD. While not difficult to do, it usually costs at least $10.00 to send anything via UPS. I'll see what I can find, at one point I had a bunch of old ammo.
  10. Shell plate/ shell holder holds the brass on the ram. One usually comes with the die set, but if some progressive presses like the Dillon 550 have their own design, and you'd have to find out what to use from the press maker. Rightwinger will know for sure, but a 45 APC might work.
  11. I'd be up for a meet, but Clarksville is a pretty good drive from where I am.
  12. Only, no. When I do carry, it's usually a 642 in a pocket holster. It's convenient, but not without disadvantages. You draw will suffer. I took a class earlier this year, and two of us were using pocket holsters. When they timed the draw, we were both about double what folks with IWB holsters were. Likewise, if you're seated, it's difficult if not impossible to get to your gun quickly. Different styles of pants can help, I have some 5:11 khaki pants that are easy to draw from. It's ideal for deep concealment or simplicity, but there is a noticeable tradeoff.
  13. I did mine through my phone via system update. I sat it down, then when I came back to it it was asking me to hook up a cable. Still not sure what that was about, but it seems to be working now.
  14. What does the new browser offer that the default browser doesn't? To find the update, check the Verizon website. They have a tutorial on downloading and installing it.
  15. Tonight, I'm having a beer and listening to good music. Otherwise, been working around the house. Yard mowed, weedeated most of it (got too dark to see), split some wood, cleaned more junk out of my shop, fixed a tractor, etc...
  16. Y'all know oil filters come in different sizes, right? Depending on what the threads are, I'm sure there's a smaller filter that will fit.
  17. Funny you say that, I almost switched back to AT&T just to get the I Phone 4. Glad I didn't, now. I was with them back when they were Cingular, wound up switching to Verizon. After hearing about the customer service issues and the problems with the new I Phone, I'm glad I stayed with Verizon. What's PFM?
  18. Unplugged the cable, turned the phone off and back on. Says update installed sucessfully. Zooming in on the browser seems to be working again. Something fixed it, but I don't know what.
  19. I found the update and downloaded it on the phone, when I came back to the phone the screen was black and it says Bootloader 30.03 Battery OK, OK to Program, Connect USB cable. So, I plugged the USB cable into my phone, and the other end into my laptop. I'm not sure what to do now. It's not doing anything automatically, and pressing the four buttons on the bottom of the phone don't do anything. Will it do any harm if I just turn it off? If it isn't obvious by this point, I'm not up on computer technology. This is my first smartphone, even.
  20. I just got one on Wednesday. Today, the browser stopped zooming in. At first, when I moved my fingers on he screen in opposite directions, it would zoom in and make the text larger. Now, it's stopped doing that. I have to double tap the screen, but doing that doesn't zoom in as close. Anyone run into this before?
