  1. Couple of weeks? I never got any phone calls, but lots of mail.
  2. Great rifle, my favorite .22 so far. Does it still have the brass deflector?
  3. FTNCityfatboy is right on. They aren't going to hit much in the all star game because nobody wants to go back to the regular season hurt. As a result, the goalies don't get a lot of defensive help. It's fun to watch, but you have to keep it in perspective. It doesn't mean anything. The skills competition was fun, Weber had the second hardest shot. About 104 MPH.

    Wish glock would

There's a bunch of pocket sized 9mm single stacks out there. Walther, Kahr, and Kel Tec come to mind immediately, and Ruger is supposed to have one coming out before long. What could Glock offer that would be substantially better than any of the other manufacturers, aside from the gun's ability to shoot oneself in the butt? That wouldn't really be better, though...:-\
  5. We have some training folks right here in TN, and some here on TGO. CIS is in LaVergne, and Safety South is somewhere around Murfreesboro, I believe. Check with them, they may have something that would work for you. Great gift idea, too. Good job.
  6. Greg, I've got a 91/30 and a M44. Holler anytime, I can come up there or you're welcome to come down here.
  7. I went with someone few years ago. We stayed on the Disney property, either the Wilderness or Animal Kingdom lodge (I don't recall exactly), and it was pretty cool. Like the others have said, try and take advantage of the flights. Disney picks you up at the airport, and takes you right to the lodge if you stay at Disney. They have shuttles that take you everywhere on the property, a car wouldn't serve much purpose. I usually agree with Greg, but he and I differ on this one. Granted; for folks with kids it might make sense. For two adults, I would avoid the meal plans. As great a trip as it was, if there was one downfall it was the food. All the 'Disney' food was less than stellar, and expensive. I liked the park hopper plan. We were there for a week, and hit a park a day. I think we might've hit one of them twice, Epcot I think. I'll throw this in too, if your camera takes regular batteries (not rechargeables), take them with you. Don't buy them at Disney. I think a 2 pack of AAs was about 10 bucks.
  8. That was going to be my suggestion. Very good call.
  9. The wooden box comes inside a plastic bag, which is inside a cardboard box. That cardboard box is inside a larger cardboard box, which is shrink wrapped. All of which was meticulously removed, photographed, played with, then meticulously re-packaged right down to the factory shrink wrap. And the guy at the store thought I was being picky when I asked to check the serial numbers...if only he knew. Hey, with a limited run of 1,800 it doesn't hurt to check.
  10. This is a Surefire 30th Anniversary Collector set. It's a Surefire pen, along with an E1B Backup flashlight. Both are anodized a special color, and serial numbered together in a wooden box. There were 1,800 sets released.
  11. I believe the gentleman that actually makes those for Mr. Uselton is here in Gallatin.
  12. I can only speak from my experience, but my '94, '01, and '02 Ford diesels had them. The 2009 F-650 trucks we have at work have block heaters, along with the two 2011 F-550s. The 550 trucks share the cab/ engine with the 250/ 350/ 450 trucks. The '94.5 through 2003.5 7.3 liter Powerstroke trucks use high pressure oil to fire the fuel injectors. Any number of things can cause them to be hard starting in cold weather, from dirty oil to weak glow plugs. When kept in good shape, they'll start right up. Currently going through this on the '01 model I bought used, it doesn't like to start when cold either.
  13. Down here, yes. My '94 model and the '02 model I used to own would both start without being plugged in down to 10-15* They would run like crap and miss for a few minutes, though. Plug them in and they would start up and run as if you'd just shut them off a few minutes before.
  14. The ability to run used veggie oil usually requires some modifications to the truck if you want to do it year round, along with the filtering process for the oil itself. Biodiesel is a completely different ballgame, it can be run in any diesel any time. Diesel trucks are great, but if you don't haul heavy stuff often they can be a pain. Not sure what size you're looking for, but most manufacturers only offer diesel engines in the 250/ 2500 line and up. Maintenance ain't cheap, either. Doing it myself with conventional oil, it costs about $60.00 to change the oil in my truck. I'd look for a cheap used truck, but that's just me. Modern vehicles are a lot more reliable than they used to be. The '94 model F-250 I used to have has 315,000 miles on it with no major problems.
  15. Went around 12:30. Saw a couple of TGOers, walked around for a while. Had a lot of interest in a couple of things I was selling, but no buyers. Picked up a rifle case, though. Seemed like a lot of older and milsurp guns compared to most shows.
  16. May try to get some pictures tomorrow.
  17. This is an A2 Aviator. The peculiar thing about this one is the color, as the black ones are far less common than the green ones. It's an older model (as all the black ones I've seen are), which you can tell because it has 4 flat sides instead of the later versions with 3 sides with slightly rounded 'flats'.
  18. Good to know. What time do the doors open tomorrow? I'm guessing around 9:00?
  19. I almost went today, but didn't. D'oh! See any used J frames?
  20. May go tomorrow myself. Where is the best place to park? The lot by the depot looked a bit small.
  21. If he's willing to ride up to Sumner County, I can probably help. PM me if need be.

    Gods Handgun

I'm a big fan of the P30. I've never had a handgun fit my hand quite so well.
  23. From Lebanon, go up 109. Stay straight at the redlight at Airport Rd, and continue on Water St. You'll go through the square, and go straight at the redlight at Nashville Pike/ Gallatin Rd/ 31E. Once you go through the light, AuoZone will be on your right. Before you go over the railroad tracks the depot is on your right. I'm almost positive that's right. I may go, just to see how it is.
