1. Well...I'm hungry now.
2. My gift arrived today.    Thanks TGO Santa! :)
3. There's nothing legally special about being inside a building called a "gun show" or not. At worst, selling ammo in the parking lot might irritate a show promoter who could think you're just trying to skirt paying entry to his show. Even then, the most they could do is ask you to leave, and they normally have bigger fish to fry. If you've bought admission and just don't feel like carrying around a bunch of ammo (I wouldn't), I don't think anyone will care a bit.
4.
You sure about that? I'd think a four foot diameter oak would be twice or thrice as old as you said. That's a rare oak, isn't it?
On second thought, maybe it was 38". I remember a picture of a splitting maul laid across it and not reaching the edge, but my largest saw would've had a 20" bar.
5. Yes, call an arborist. Not that it matters, but I don't think you have "old growth" trees. I took down a 48" diameter oak a few years ago that was roughly 50 years old. Utility crews routinely clear right of ways and the laws are written to protect them when they do so, even if they go overboard. I sincerely wish you good luck in this endeavor, but it will be a tough process to get anything from them.
6. Stopped in last night, a great experience as always. :)
7. Got mine sent yesterday, should be there today.
8. Couldn't find it. Didn't look too hard, either. Loaded my stuff and got out of Dodge!
9.   Negative, sir. I was inside a customer's facility at the time. Came out to the truck, and was rather surprised at what I found.
10.   My work truck got a bullet wound right here in Music City. Hardly limited to the western end of the state...
11. I bought a used toaster oven at Goodwill for $10.    Just sayin...:)
12.   I miss the days when they actually performed country western music...
13. With the addition of a new dog to the family, I'm thinking about finding a professional trainer to work with. The dog is about a year old, I want to work on basic obedience and getting the dogs I already had to welcome him into the group. Ideally do a session or two at the trainer's location, then one or two at my house with the rest of the dogs.    I know that a handful of training sessions won't make him the perfect dog, but it would give me a better starting point and hopefully make it a quicker process that's less stressful for me and the dogs.    Google turns up quite a few trainers around Nashville, hoping someone can point me toward one or two that they've dealt with personally.
14. At first I thought this was a joke, but it looks real.    https://hedgeapple.com/orderform.html   I guess some people really will buy anything.
15.   That never worked for me. Tried it in my shop, the apples just rotted and the bug level didn't change. My dog loves to eat the stupid things, though.    I think I hate those trees. Clear a few fencelines of them and you will, too.
16. Fastenal and Grainger usually have things, but at double the cost of any competitors. The price you have to pay for convenience.    I know your location says south east TN, but for those around Nashville that might be in this situation check Capital City Bolt and Screw on 3rd avenue. They've always come through for me for fasteners, taps, dies, drill bits, thread inserts, etc. Those guys are good, and prices are reasonable.
17. I just added an upper to my order. I think this one will end up in 5.45, but it'll probably be a slow build.
18.   I know this blacksmith guy that can make branding irons...:)   That said, I much prefer the CMT lower! Placed my order a couple of days ago. Really glad y'all went with CMT, I spent several years of my childhood right outside Lexington. Cool to have a lower made so close to "home".
19. Don't be so insulting! Those horses work and provide a service. They deserve a little more respect.
20. If you want black, then paint. Oil, used or otherwise doesn't give that absolute black like paint will. Any type of finish will require maintenance and touch ups over the years.
21. Finding one of those rifles and bringing it home would make my month. All four...wow!
